Or some cutting when the defense collapses vs kick outs.I would love to see some hard screening set plays mixed in more with the 2 man pick and roll game to throw different looks at the defense. It seems to be a 2 man game with 3 people spotting up

“Didn’t make game adjustments”Illini weren't ready or willing to play at a highly intense level, didn't guard and didn't make game adjustments when 3's weren't falling. "."
100% agreed. We’ll see where the % ends up at the season end… but given wide open 3s I think you have to take them? Otherwise you have to drive into a clogged lane
Ben had a strong game and helped us get back in it. This is a bad take.
It’s just infuriating. Brad can’t beat good teams. We fold and I am sick of our ‘elite’ shooters failing to hit practice shots. Just charmin soft. That was not good basketball and it is more coaching than players. Embarrassing.
And don’t forget - 0 assists5 points and 1 rebound in 26 minutes is not a “strong game”.
1 rebound?
6’9” 240lbs?
Come on man.
Bad take indeed.

Ben can be a nice role player off the bench. But he has to hit open shots, and he has not really shown the ability to consistently do that in a season +. He's shooting 29% from three after the Jackson St game this year and 35% overall. This coming from a player BU called an elite shooter.5 points and 1 rebound in 26 minutes is not a “strong game”.

I tend to agree with you, but at this point in Brad’s tenure the “this team will be amazing in mid January” conversation is getting kind of old. This team will be totally fine. Some stuff to work out and things to improve but they will get there. Much more confident than last year.

He failed to hedge on at least two screens today that the other defender failed to get over the top of, leading to easy layups. He also tried going under a screen and somehow got drug all the way to the middle of the lane giving up a wide open three.
And he does not rebound well enough to justify playing 25 minutes a game. If we have to rely on him to be a 20+ minute per game player we will continue to struggle.
"Nice role player" is not equal to "trash player." Just saying.I'd love to get the fools who say Ben is a trash player in a room with Mike LaTulip for a panel interview
Well I would bite, but then once upon a time about a week or so ago we were ranked #8 and then lost to #13 or so Alabama.Top 10 teams are difficult to win against
Duke is 3-5 against top 10 teams over the same time period, for instance

What? Who is saying he's a "trash player"? Deleted posts?
So you don’t think he’s a trash player?
Thought his tenure here, he's beaten plenty of good teams. The fact is this team is not as good as the everything's rosy crowd was chanting a couple weeks ago. Our preseason ranking of #15 is probably fair and w/o a healthy Tomi that's even being generous. It’s just infuriating. Brad can’t beat good teams. Lol....where would you get this idea?
My two cents:
1. If UConn shoots threes like that, they'll never lose another game.
