Arguably Purdue’s toughest game of the season. Will be interesting to see how they match up with Penn State tonight.

Purdue's linebackers look like Illinois' linebackers when Miles Smith was their coach. Slow, out of position, and unable to tackle.

Purdue D is being exposed. So much for the "fashionable" B1G west pick.

I didn’t see the first half, but Purdue has looked pretty good offensively to me. Penn St doesn’t look all that good, but don’t think Illini play them this year.

Damn, huge pick six for Purdue! Not that I’m expecting us in Indy or anything, but we should want fellow Big Ten West teams to lose their cross-divisional games … right?

Still can’t help but root for Purdue. Also REALLY wish we had PSU in Champaign … would be a totally winnable game and probably a great crowd.

Yeah but Illini’s win over Purdue will look more impressive if the Boilermakers have a win over PSU.

I hope for their sake Iowa has some good WRs or they’ll be kicking themselves for letting Jones get away.

Final score in DeKalb: NIU 34 EIU 27

Game was a lot closer than expected. Panthers offense looks a lot better than what it ever did at the end of the Cushing era. And it appears Huskies still have defensive issues they had last season.

EIU returns to action next Saturday for their home opener vs. Chattanooga. Kickoff is set for 6:00 PM and the game will air on ESPN+.
