Probably my 2 least favorite teams in the conference.Iowa vs. Michigan in the B1G Title game in Indy next Saturday.
Just as everyone had predicted in the preseason.
1983Pisses me off how objectively cool the Michigan/OSU rivalry is. We’ll never have a game on that level, but I’m honestly desperate for the day Illini football has been competitive enough for long enough that Illini fans build “Illini Football” into their family traditions again and we fill the stadium no matter the weather! It CAN happen.
God I hate Alabama.A mere 4 OTs later, the Tide Rollers pulled out the win, 24 - 22.
For sure. But for example, all of my Iowa friends make their entire holiday weekend plans around that Friday game with Nebraska now, and it’s a blast. Ohio State/Michigan fans would not NOT sell out their stadiums no matter the weather. I want so badly for Illini football to have that passion behind it, which I get they must earn.1983

Can we be so blessed with a blowout win by Georgia so we can lose Alabama, too? This year will be the first time in the CFP era that championship weekend won't involve Clemson, Oklahoma, or Ohio State.
Let me rephrase that- Definitely my 2 least favorite teams.I'm questioning your commitment.
I would rather have Alabama again, than Notre Shame. Can we be so blessed with a blowout win by Georgia so we can lose Alabama, too?
I'm expecting exactly this. This is Georgia's year. Can we be so blessed with a blowout win by Georgia so we can lose Alabama, too?
OK State, with a win over Baylor, will probably have a stronger case for the playoffs than Notre Dame.I would rather have Alabama again, than Notre Shame.
Georgia, Cincy, Michigan and Oklahoma State would be quite the godsend for the committee, providing both a couple of traditional megabrands that will drive viewership, but also venting off the Group of Five frustration and putting in four teams with a grand total of one prior appearance.OK State, with a win over Baylor, will probably have a stronger case for the playoffs than Notre Dame.
Georgia loses and both they and Alabama make it in…and Michigan loses somehow getting tOSU back in?Georgia, Cincy, Michigan and Oklahoma State would be quite the godsend for the committee, providing both a couple of traditional megabrands that will drive viewership, but also venting off the Group of Five frustration and putting in four teams with a grand total of one prior appearance.
But this is college football. Place your bets on somebody screwing it up next Saturday.
That’s the group I told my brother in law I’d expect. Mostly just did it to piss him off as a notre dame fan but I think it would be some interesting football, even if only because it’s different.Georgia, Cincy, Michigan and Oklahoma State would be quite the godsend for the committee, providing both a couple of traditional megabrands that will drive viewership, but also venting off the Group of Five frustration and putting in four teams with a grand total of one prior appearance.

Would have been classier if he had done it quietly, without attracting attention to it, and himself.

No, especially since his salary and bonuses are a public record. I read an article about him years ago and I'm pretty sure he's already quietly giving a sizeable amount of time and money to charity. He's one of the good guys out there. Is that really worth nitpicking?
