Does Bama jump Texas though, a team they lost to this season? And is this loss 100% mean Georgia falls out of the playoff? Where does Ohio State fit into all this?

Seems like a mess right now for the committee to figure out.
Nowhere. They will be in NY6 bowl but not in discussion for playoff. Both Texas and Bama will jump them.

As of now: Mich and Wash are locks for 1 and 2 seed, unless Mich collapses in second half. FSU should be 3 with win (can't lock out an undefeated P5 team, even though they are weakest...Louisville can cure in 2nd half). I think Georgia falls to 6. I initially had them as a lock regardless, but how can you put them ahead of one loss conference champs?

If results hold, I think it will be:
1) Michigan
2) Washington
3) FSU
4) Bama (SEC $ will win day, even though Texas beat them)
5) Texas
6) Georgia
7) OSU

The two games tonight have as many first half yards combined as Quinn Ewers threw for in the first half. Thanks for playing FSU. Texas and Bama took your spot
Understand your point but FSU is on their 3rd qb. Their back up would be back for the playoffs. Oklahoma State does not have the best defense and the game turned into a shootout. Iowa has limited scUM in the first half other than a punt return.

Texas lost to Oklahoma who has FSU lost to? They beat LSU Clemson Miami Duke if the win tonight Louisville Bama struggled this year beating USF by 14. With the current format all games are equal. FSU deserves the spot based on their resume

I agree they don’t past the eye test

Let the debate start. Can we just start the 12 team playoff this year?
It should have started decades ago....

1. The 1997 Me-choke-again fake title would never had happened
2. A proper playoff probably would stopped this superconference nonsense. The Pac-12 would have survived. Heck if you had it way earlier, you might have saved the Big East or the Southwest Conference.

I think the talk of an undefeated FSU not getting a bid is silly.

I agree that Tex has a better argument having beaten Bama head to head, but I suspect SEC power will prevail here.

It would be blasphemy to not include FSU in playoff. 13-0, even if they are on 2nd string QB in playoff.

I personally see it as 3 teams vying for 4 seed: Bama, Texas, and Georgia. We will see if the committee has the guts to shut out the SEC (my head says no). Texas beat Bama in Tuscaloosa by 10, and Georgia had very weak schedule and just lost to Bama. As far as I am concerned, Texas should get in as 4 seed. Let's also not forget that Alabama needed a miracle last week to beat Auburn.

Unfortunately, I would not be surprised (and expect) to see the committee pull a fast one and drop FSU to 5 seed to allow both Bama and Texas in, and that would be very wrong.

Iowa’s defense shut down Michigan about as well as could possibly be expected. The difference was -3 on turnovers and they still get blown out.

Actually 3rd string true freshman QB.
