According to the ESPN article, Arkansas’ Landon Jackson had movement in all extremities and was hospitalized as a precaution. Hoping for a good outcome.Horrible, horrible injury there in that ARK-Mizzou game...
when we set the 9ot record , weren’t we doing every ot period after the first the same way ? ball on the 25 ? when did the rules change so at some ot point it’s just a 2pt try ?I'm just glad they didn't tie or break our 9 OT record! Miami should still be in, but you know the higher ups want another SEC team in it instead.
That was already the new rules.when we set the 9ot record , weren’t we doing every ot period after the first the same way ? ball on the 25 ? when did the rules change so at some ot point it’s just a 2pt try ?
ahhThat was already the new rules.
Actually, starting with the 3rd already!ahh
so starting with the 4th or 5th, its just a two pt try ? somehow I forgot that
thxActually, starting with the 3rd already!
1st is normal (25-yard line).
2nd is 25 yd line, but have to go for 2 is scoring a TD.
3rd and beyond is just straight up 2-pts.
Not even Drew Brees could have moved the ball with how pitiful A&M's offensive line was last night.Purdue's alumni skips rivalry game to attend his dream school rivalry game tonight. Thank goodness, Purdue lost tonight 66 to 0.
Purdue is (1-11) this season. Ouch....

I hope many coaches have a preemptive talk with their teams about character this week. Planting a flag is the polar opposite of a congratulatory handshake for a game well played. It’s a sign of very poor character and a complete lack of sportsmanship, like giving the defeated team the finger.Billy Napier with the correct response to his team planting a flag.

Billy Napier: Florida's flag-planting on FSU logo 'embarrassing'
Florida coach Billy Napier said he was embarrassed after his players celebrated Saturday's win over Florida State by planting a Gators flag at midfield.www.espn.com
Penn State got the same criticism. Here's was Franklin's response. That said, it was really classless for Indiana's Coach to run up the score like he did.
I actually agree with Franklin. The backups shouldn’t just go in and run up the gut three plays and punt.Penn State got the same criticism. Here's was Franklin's response.
"My jobs is to put threes and fours in the game, but when the threes and fours get to go in the game, they get to play football," Franklin said via Happy Valley Insider, referring to Penn State's reserves. "Those guys deserve to play football.
"... On top of that, there's also a change in college football. We are trying to play as long as we can, make the Playoff and be seeded as high as possible. Scoring as many points and a point differential matters. All of that matters. And if you don't get that, it's really not my problem."
I have to agree. If you can't handle a beatdown, don't play sports.
I actually liked the cignetti move to prove the point. If you aren’t a top brand, you don’t get the benefit of the doubt (we’d be in this scenario too). Therefore, he had to “pass the eye test” which is a moving target based on who you are. Put a longhorns helmet on that team and they’re 3-4 spots higher.I actually agree with Franklin. The backups shouldn’t just go in and run up the gut three plays and punt.
But running fake punts and trick plays up 40 like Cignetti did is bush league.
I will blame it on lack of leadership from the coaching staff.I hope many coaches have a preemptive talk with their teams about character this week. No… MSU had done it at Notre Dame earlier that year.Wasn't that revenge from MSU doing it to us the last time the played at our place (year before?), though?
I lived in Ames, IA briefly in the late 70s or early 80’s (don’t remember exactly as I have tried to erase those memories). Nebraska was good, the Osborne years. So, the Sunday after ISU played Neb. the Des Moines Register’s front page, main headline was that ISU only lost to Nebraska by 14 points or something like that. Evidently, it was a moral victory since they weren’t beaten by 30 or 40 as they usually were, and one that needed to be front page news. I just laughed.Iowa State with the first 10-win season in the program's history. They've been playing college football in Ames since 1892.
It's hard to explain how weird these people are if you've never met any.
It's like if you crossed a European soccer fanbase who hates their rival based on religious schisms from the 11th century with the PTA club for Moms at the richest elementary school in the US.
Arizona State has clinched their spot in the Big XII Championship Game. The other spot will come down to the result of the Houston/BYU game that is currently going on. If BYU wins, then the Sun Devils will face Iowa State. If BYU loses, then it will be Arizona State vs. Colorado.
