Scott Frost has fully killed the Blackshirt defense moniker that used to define Nebraska. Nearly 700 yards given up to Georgia Southern. That is a very winnable game next month.
Illinois was the only Big Ten team to beat a Power 5 opponent this week.
Nebraska lost by one score again. Ha ha. Good buy Frost.
I hope they keep Frost. Nb missed a 52 yd field goal.

Iowa, Nebby, Wisconsin and NU all lose at home today as mostly big favorites. We HAVE to be able to find at least 3 conference wins this season to go bowling.

Definitely a winnable game. Question of the hour will be if there is interim coach for Nebraska by that game. Hard to see him surviving through the end of season. We could very well hand him their seventh loss and his immediate firing if not fired before the game...

So the entire B1G East is undefeated. Meanwhile, the B1G West has accumulated 7 total losses across 6 of the 7 teams. It's a shame we've never really taken advantage of the gift that is the B1G West.

From what I’ve seen online (which makes it 100% accurate) Frost’s buyout drops from $15M to $7.5M on 1 Oct. We play them on 29 Oct I believe so they should either be in full meltdown mode, have an interim coach, or just be down right dispirited by that time.
If they do have an interim, hopefully we aren’t the first game. I feel like (anecdotally) players play really loose and well for the first game under the interim.
Like the pressure is off and they have forgotten that they still suck.
Gonna be an interesting drama to watch unfold!

The Huskers have Oklahoma next. If they get absolutely blasted as one would expect, that fanbase is gonna want them to swallow that $7.5M.
I don't expect them to get blasted though. I expect them to Scott Frost their way through the game playing a good opponent tough and then lose in the final 3 minutes

Also, I was near Indianola, Iowa for a family wedding yesterday. The bride went to Illinois and the groom went to Iowa State. There were two big cheers when the ISU-Iowa and Illinois-Virginia games ended, made for a great celebration, we all piled onto the few Iowa fans that were there together.
