Extremely strange call. I don't see how a safety coming downhill into the teeth of an active running play meets any possible definition of a "defenseless player".

Nor did the block come from the "blind side" as was the call.

Literally that was a player blocking his assigned man at the point of attack to spring the RB for a touchdown. OL and DL smash heads together on every play in that context.

KSU kicks a go-ahead field goal, but there is almost 2 minutes left for Kansas to pull this out.

As bad as things have been for us in our rivalry games over the years, it's not as bad as what KU has with their rivals in Manhattan. Haven't beaten the Wildcats since 2008. Have only won in Manhattan twice since 1989 with the other victory there coming in 2007.

Utah, Arizona, Kansas and Oklahoma State were all ranked in the preseason and were 4 of the top 5 in the preseason Big XII media poll, and they are now a combined 3-17 in conference occuping 4 of the bottom 5 spots.

Huh, so MSU and Michigan got into yet another fight this year. At what point does one of those schools get hit with a lack of institutional control penalty because I'm not sure how much more either school has to do to get one based on how many rules they've broken over the past decade. Hell, next year just give each team baseball bats, brass knuckles, and charnal pits and be done with it. Stallions can videotape it for posterity.

I had to chuckle at the absurdity of the optics of the kerfuffle while the clock continued to click down to zero to end the game.
The refs were smart enough not to throw a flag to stop the clock and let the nonsense continue.

I do wonder if the fact that the tunnel is directly behind the bench at the Big House also leads to issues
