Wisky up 12 in 2nd half versus MSU. AJ Storr really looking good for them and Badgers are shooting 56%. They look legit... much better than early in the year.

We are going to have to really improve to get a W at Madison on March 2nd

Whisky has controlled this game throughout and up 18 with 6 minutes left. Shooting 58% from the field, 37% from 3 (they lead league in both categories) and outrebounding MSU 29 to 19. Storr with 24. Tyson Walker with only 12

Funny enough, but I see us losing to MSU on the road and beating Wisconsin

Wisky with 1.35 ppp against a pretty good MSU defense. Yea. They are surprisingly good.

Wisconsin seems to always be good. Really solid program.

Feel like we matchup up very well with Wisco… And agree with Indy, can see us winning in Madison but losing in East Lansing… They will be desperate on the bubble

4 conference games today to go along with ours. Here is who to root for in terms of NET rankings.

Nebraska @ Maryland - you could root for Nebraska to get in the top 30 (currently 47) to give us another Q1 game at home, but I don't see that happening. Need Maryland to get into the top 75 (currently 93) to get rid of that Q3 loss.

Iowa @ Michigan - could root for Michigan to get into the top 75 (currently 96), but they are a dumpster fire. So I'm rooting for Iowa to stay in the top 75 (currently 64). We still play them twice and it would be great to rack up Q1 and Q2 wins.

Minnesota @ Penn St - doesn't matter.

tOSU @ Northwestern - really need both teams to stay in top 75. Ohio St is in a free fall down to 57. Northwestern is at 69 and has been hovering around that 75 line for most of the season.

Pope would be an awesome transfer, if he wanted to keep playing in a major conf. I have seen him play several times and the eye test match his stats. I think him and Coleman are friends, possible pg transfer?
Pope and Coleman both went to Prolific Prep. Not sure if friends, but they certainly know each other. Pope will certainly be sought after if he transfers. Illinois might have more pressing needs for portal. Think staff hopes DGLwill develop into “a Pope,”. They’re similar size (think Pope is slightly bigger) with DGL probably a bit more explosive physically. But Pope plays well within himself. He is a proven shooter — think he shot about 37% from 3 last year and close to 40% this year. Given he’s likely only guy on team that would start on other P5 teams, that’s pretty impressive.

Beavers are my other team, so I’ve seen him play a lot. Would love to see him in the Orange and Blue. Over last 5 years or so, he, Ayo and TSJ have been my favorite players to watch on offense. Not saying he’s as good as those other 2, but when he get’s going he is so fun to watch.

Pope is also a poster child for rankings/ratings don’t matter. He was a 3* and ranked somewhere around 200 I think. I watched him play in that big end of the year HS tournament and right away thought Beavs got a steal. Not saying I knew he’d be this good, but could tell it was crazy that Oregon State was his only P5 offer.

Entertaining Nebbie at MD game. Many 3 pointers in the first half so far.
