Kaufman just threw an elbow and a foul on the defense. Awful call.
Definitely not a bad performance in totality. Actually a very good performance. They led for the overwhelming majority -- which literally leads me to my point.
What are they in a close game? What are the ways they could beat you? The answer is contested threes. If you look back at that game, almost every shot they took was a low percentage three. If they make them they'll win, if they miss they'll lose. It was the same thing in the game against us -- they just made them at a 46% clip and tonight they missed legitimately all of them.
In contrast if you look back at our game against Purdue, we generate high percentage looks playing off of what the defense allows. You give Keaton a switch on Cluff -- sure we'll go right at the mismatch. Now wanna put two on the ball? Swing, swing wide open threes for Mirk, Tomi, Jake, etc.

Hey didn't say there wsnt any luck involved, what an egregius call that was. Even that play shows they will go to actions besides pass around for a 3
No assists for Braden on the first half, which is unusual.Purdue looks dead. Down 40-29 at the half. Braden Smith is still great but the rest of their guys look like mid-major players. They severely lack athleticism across the roster
With a G league player on their team who's been out of college for 2 years, so there's that to help themExcept Bama, I guess.
The reason Neb beat us was that their threes were not contested. We were never dialed in on defense and it showed. Also the Saturday Nebraska team will have Mast back and at home in front of a hyper crowd. I truly believe that we are a better team but this will be a challenge.Definitely not a bad performance in totality. Actually a very good performance. They led for the overwhelming majority -- which literally leads me to my point.

Looks to me Nebraska got tired. Mast being out didn’t help.
I think they are in a bit of funk now. if tkr, loyer or even benter get back into form that offense can score on anyone. the defense is still the what could limit them but they are no worse than they were last year imo...a team that was one basket away from beating Houston and going to the elite 8.Purdue don't impress me much. They are not a contender.
