I know they have a super efficient offense, but BAMA takes so many bad threes.
There's flashier, more athletic, longer guards in this draft (and why I could see him fall a bit) but Darius Acuff wouldn't make it outside top 5 picks in this draft for me. Always in control, can play on or off ball, and a 3 level scorer
they do have a run and gun offense but Alabama gives up 96 and their defensive efficiency improves. lol
The Vandy vs Ala game was crazy.

A lot of parallels to the Penn State football situation in my mind.
I think he's got them on the right trajectory. Here's his conference record by year:
2023-24 (Y1): 3-17
2024-25 (Y2): 6-14
2025-26 (Y3): 2-3
Torvik currently projects them to go 8-12 in conference. It's been a slow turnaround, but at least moving in the right direction. Given the amount of time they gave his predecessor, I'd hope they have some patience with Powell. I think their NIL situation has been tough. They lost almost their whole roster from last season.
It is also a bad case for Illinois State getting any kind of at large look, unfortunately.
I want to absolutely crush them. They deserve it from us.

If I were Josh Whitman, I genuinely think Byington would be at the top of my list in my top desk drawer that I hope I never have to pull from that drawer.
