So when 1-3 all lose I assume they just stay the same in the poll? Lol. Has 1-5 all lost in the same week during the regular season? That would be interesting.
1 through 6 all lost on the same day back in February of 2022:

Wow, our schedule's narrative took it on the chin tonight!

Tennessee, Kansas, and Marquette? Sheesh!

Kansas does not affect the schedule.
Correct. That is why I used another word. I could have used a stand-in for the word 'schedule' or left it out entirely, but I think it may have made my meaning less clear.

Either way, I don't enjoy seeing the best teams (from the list of those that Illinois has faced in competitive action since the end of last season) lose to what I would like to consider lesser teams. Wouldn't you also like every team on our schedule prove to be almost unbeatable after we've played them, fellow fan? 😁

Kansas does not affect the schedule.
Considering Marquette’s warts are showing (lost 3 of 5; 2-3 in conference; only 1 away victory), and Illinois lost to Marquette at home, and Marquette’s big win is against Kansas, yeah, Kansas’ loss does impact Illinois negatively.

Man...I wish college foosball was this crazy. So sick of the same bs at the top every year. Props to the Huskies for crashing their party this year.

- Only 5 teams outscoring their opponents on the season thus far, and two of them are Nebraska and Minnesota.
- Wisconsin has a leg up on the league now, having won at MSU and OSU. Maybe OSU isn't as good as they looked at the start of B1G season, but they aren't terrible.
- Illinois needs to keep winning to keep up with Wisconsin going forward. If they can stay within a game or two going into the last 2 weeks they can pull this out.

Other than the title race, the most interesting storyline to me is Northwestern. Their B1G schedule is about as front loaded as it gets. To be at 3-1 right now is a huge success for them, but they still have an extremely tough January...

@Wisky
MD
@Nebraska
Illinois
tOSU
@Purdue

If they can find a way to get just 2 wins out of that, probably beating Maryland and tOSU, they will be in really good shape. Once they get through that gauntlet, they could be favored in the rest of their games except for @MSU. A very good opportunity for them to get on a roll and finish the season with 12 or 13 B1G wins. Maybe even a top 4 finish depending on what tOSU does.

Nebraska shot 50.9 from the field.. The Huskers were also 14-for-23 from long range for 60.9 percent.
Not going to lose to very many teams with shooting like that.

Anyone think Edey has looked kind of lethargic the last few games?
Agreed, Eady looked like his shoes had some lead in them

They did win the big East regular season title last year
True, but underperformed in the tourney.

Not trying to argue, but he has not impressed me since he left VCU. I think Marquette is perfect for him, but I do not see a Elite 8/Final 4 run with him in charge.

Tyler Kolek has been cheeks as of late, that's why they are struggling.

Speaking of bad refs, is Larry Scirotto still doing B1G games? He got hired as Police Chief in Pittsburgh last summer.

Under Gainey, Scirotto also will no longer serve as an NCAA college basketball referee, a position he’s held part-time for much of his law-enforcement career. He defended his work as a ref, saying it has similarities with his work as a police officer.
