Is there a dumber rule in all of sports than being allowed to foul at the end of games and the other team is forced to shoot free throws? IE: by breaking the rules of the game, you give yourself an advantage in said game.

The football equivalent would be if you go offsides, the other team is forced to kick a field goal.

Down 3 in the game with 2 minutes to go? No problem. Jump offsides. Even if they make the field goal, you get the ball back with a chance to win the game.

Silly.
Needs to be a rule change for fouls in the last 2 minutes.

The most obvious would be to give the option of free throws or the ball out of bounds.

Purdue and Tennessee going to kill us!!!!!
Purdue might. I think we match up well enough with Tennessee. They play tough D and will have to be more careful with the ball than we were against Marquette...but Marquette is the best in the game at forcing turnovers

I agree completely. Hate the rule. Wasn't the original rule on a foul you had the option to take the ball in from out of bounds. I like that better.

Sparty is getting handled by Zona so far. Nice of Fox announcer to point out that Boswell is from Champaign. He was a big miss.

I’ve said on other threads I’m not sure RayJ would have moved the needle enough on offense to justify the drop off on defense.

Boswell, on the other hand…

FAU beating #12 Texas Am. TAMU not proven IMHO. FAU not in same conversation as Marqutte, guards not big or overly athletic. No athletic big. Keep guards from penetrating and defend the 3 will be key.

The 7’ Russian center is pretty good. He is a factor.

I watched the Au n MSU. Watched Boswell and thought he is our missing piece. He pulls up on a fast break and shoots a 3. That is what you would see in the NBA. Nothing but net.

I thought FAU got tired once they got up 18. They fought off the Aggies comeback, but barely.
I like us v FAU.

Watching the Baylor game vs. Florida for the NIT in-season tourney championship, and man ... RayJ Dennis is doing very well. 16pts (50% from 3) and 7 assists so far with 8 mins left in the game. Would've been a very good pick up for the Illini if he would have come to Champaign.

Ray j Dennis on fire in the Baylor game in the second half. One could only wish to see that talent in rotation with TJ, Domask, Ty, and Coleman. How did brad screw this up?
