Wisconsin managed to only commit two fouls in the entire second half. Kohl Center officiating is... something.
Why does this happen? It boggles my mind that a ref would let the crowd/atmosphere in Madison - let alone Iowa City!! - allow him to bias the home team while he doesn’t in Champaign. We have a better recent history and atmosphere than both.

Watching Miznoz vs. Witchita St.Missouri plays an aggressive, overplaying, gambling defence.Must be aware of handsy defenders.Good shots to be had if patient.Offense lacks shooting ,not too impressive overall.I think how the game with Mizzou is officiated is key, they literally foul on every play.Think we return braggin rights this year.ILL

Obviously very early and Creighton is good, but I was just about to say Nebraska is unimpressive … then they go on a run.

Man, if they had our program’s success over the years, that might be the hardest place to play in the league!

I noticed Wisconsin fans stormed the court yesterday after defeating #3 Marquette. Can we get a ruling on this? How low rank can a WI win be for the storm? I had been thinking that was for beating #1, but it appears WI fans have lowered the bar. Do these Badger fans now storm on beating any top-25 team? For all wins in the Kohl Center? Maybe even for close losses?

Colorado St(#20) beat unranked Colorado and stormed the court. Embarrassing. I understand if it’s on a buzzer beater or something but some of these court stormings are ridiculous.

I tend to take the “Let the kids have fun” attitude and I DEFINITELY hate extreme court storming snobs who claim their programs are “above” that … however, I’d say in general it is only warranted if:

1. You just clinched a conference championship, especially if it is an exciting game. It’s even more warranted if it has been a while. 2022 vs. Iowa was a no-brainer to storm; clinging our fourth title in five years in 2005 after whooping Purdue by 30+ was a no-brainer to not storm.

2. If you beat a top 10 opponent and your program is currently down. Minnesota can storm after beating #9 Illinois … it’d be kind of lame for #20 Wisconsin to do the same.

3. Beating #1 if your team is at least ranked outside of the top 10.

Obviously varies by the situation. I can’t think of a reason for us to storm this year except for the first reason (and even then, it would be our second in three years and rightfully third in four years!), even beating a hypothetically #1 Purdue later. Wisconsin vs. #3 Marquette is legit, IMO.

Just noticed that James Madison scored 130 points yesterday. Of course, it was against a team I have never heard of, La Plume, which, apparently is another name for Keystone (maybe). It's kind of confusing. ESPN lists it as "La Plume" but has no internet link to the college, as it does for most colleges. And a Google search brings up "Keystone". If it is the same college, it has about a 1300 student enrollment. Anyway, you don't see a 130-point (by one team) game every day.
