St. Mary's loses to Weber State. So far this week SDSU, St Mary's, MSU & Duke in the top 25 all lose. We will probably jump to either 23 or 24 depending on how far SDSU falls. Could be #23 vs #3 on Tuesday night.

There has been conversation about the disadvantages of having to play top teams every night. Some think it has hurt the Big Ten the last few years. Maybe we will see if having more easy games helps the Illini make a deep run.

They were one of the most efficient 3pt shooting teams in the country last year and only lost Hauser.

Tyson Walker has shot well over 40% from 3 the last two years. Akins shot nearly 40% as a freshman and 42% as a sophomore.

They will basically have two elite shooters on the floor at all times plus Hoggard and Hall are average/capable shooters.

Epps with 22 pts 3 assists in a loss to Holy Cross. Took a terrible 3 from outside NBA range in the final minute. There were parts of the game where I thought we missed him, then he took that shot… was exactly the shot they didn’t need. No pass, good defense quick 3.

I think Epps will put up good scoring numbers on a lot of bad /mediocre teams.

Yeah, the guy most on here talk about being one of our late game ball handlers and possibly in top 2 of our best 3 point shooters has 4 assist, 4 turnovers and is shooting 2 for 10 from beyond the arc. Couple/few games is too early to make any real assessment.

Use the (much) larger sample size, not the 31 attempts across their first 2 games of the season while everyone's still a little rusty and getting up to speed.
