Reading random poster comments in Reddit after Arkansas lost by 24.

Talking about Robic and how he was the XO guy and Cal hasn’t been the same since he left….
His daughter was a huge factor for sure, but something definitely happened in the relationship he and Cal had. There’s lots of rumors around Lexington about Cal, nothing super nefarious, but I’ll say there’s a reason Antigua tried to stay on Pope’s staff rather than follow Cal, and it’s not just because his kids wanted to stay in school in Lexington. I love Cal and am grateful for what he did for us, but he’s incredibly stubborn. That does not make for great working relationships.

Chin Coleman was a good assistant at Illinois, now he’s relegated himself as nothing but a yes man who collects paychecks and he’s never been happier. He did zero scouting at UK after the first year. He literally gets paid to just parrot Cal. Some coaches are cool with that, some are not.

I’ve watched enough Indiana this year to be…confused at how they were thought to be a BIG 10 favorite. It’s a set of pieces that don’t fit at all. I’d bet on a bottom half finish for them.

In aggregate they're probably the most talented team in the Conference. But like you say, the pieces don't really fit. Having a pile of NIL money to spend is a great start, but you also have to put together a functional team.

Northwestern effectively a no-show in Mackey this afternoon. Down 30 midway through the second half.

Watching Drake in person this afternoon at the Knapp Center in Des Moines. The Bulldogs are tied with Murray State 26-26 at halftime. The score reflects the game. Bulldogs shooting 36% from the field, and it would have been worse if two 3s at the expiration of the shot clock-including one at mid court in front of the scorers table-hadn’t gone in.
