Pitino calls up a great set to give St. John’s a wide open 3 to lead Villanova 71-70 with 28 seconds left in a game Nova has led throughout.

He’s a slimeball, but man Pitino can coach.

Then Nova retakes the lead with 8 seconds left on a scramble play. Definitely not how it was drawn up, but they all count.

UPDATE-Villanova upsets St.John’s 73-71. Another Big East doozy.

Elam Ending please. I'll continue to bang that drum to no avail I'm sure.

Free throw parades suck.

This Iowa team is not good and they are currently beating Rutgers at Rutgers. That loss is probably our worst loss outside of USC at home. Can't believe we lost to them .
We crapped down our leg so badly against Rutgers. Still rankles me we were so terrible in that game as well as the games at NW and Nebraska. Watching Iowa go to Rutgers and win is teeth-grindingly bad.

Of course Iowa without their best inside player beats Rutgers…Big Ten basketball is puzzling

Usually don't root for the Hawkeyes but I did today, and they beat Rutgers. Hip, Hip Hooray!

Fran talking his team up after the game...

Rutgers was a bad loss... no real way around it... that's a bottom three B10 team rn.

2 of the top 5 picks in the draft? And you lose to IOWA at home? Now Iowa literally could not miss the last few minutes but when you give them one easy shot after another bad things are going to happen. SP seat has to be getting warm.

Those three losses to Northwestern, Nebraska and Rutgers on the road was inexcusable. People can blame injuries and youth but this is why this team is no better than a Sweet16 team. They definitely play down to the competition.

Looks like UW is not going to give up “worst team in the conference” without a fight. (Currently down 12 at tOSU)

I read that there may be a matchup between Marquette and Indiana next year in Chicago.

Indy and/or illini0440: how about Illinois vs. Kansas? Make it a doubleheader. Let BU know. Thanks.
I think I've mentioned an idea like this in the past with Marquette and us playing a doubleheader against two top non-conference teams in the past. This was also part of an idea I had where we would play Marquette in a three-year series with one in Champaign, one in Milwaukee, and the third year at the United Center.

I favor an annual game with Marquette at the UC. Just like Braggin Rights. Logistically easy to pull off unlike trying to have two home and away marquee games going each year.

Great minds think alike! Would love to see BU continue this kind of scheduling. It's a great idea you have and hopefully it will happen one day.

The only disadvantage I see is that I would like to see us not have two non-conference games always set in stone. Obviously, Bragging Rights isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Nothing against Marquette at all. I just like the idea of not having two non-conference games always be set in stone.

If, for whatever reason, Bragging Rights doesn't continue (and I hope it continues forever), then I would be all in favor of doing an annual game with Marquette in Chicago. It would be a fun game and one Fox would always put in a prominent broadcast position with its ties to the Big Ten and Big East.

I forgot how Wilhelm Breidenbach looks exactly like he's taking a two-hour break from his permanent home in the woods just outside of Seattle living off the land to play basketball for the Huskies . . .
I see the missing Hanson brother. The hockey guys not the 90s boy band.

I'M LISTENING TO THE F***ING SONG!!!!!!

(My friends and I would randomly blurt that out during quiet times or right after the anthem played on a game we were watching on TV . . .)
