Outside of Michigan, Indiana is the most lifeless team I’ve seen this year. Just a meh team all the way around. My guess is they change coaches this off season.
I concur..........................

A men's player with a Clark-like skillset would destroy Edey because he'd just pull him out to guard the 3 pointer and dribble right past him. But Clark is a girl with a slow and low release and a below the rim finisher. Could Edey cause her more problems than it would seem?

And Edey is extremely limited as a dribbler/driver. Does Clark get steals in WBB? Anytime you make Edey pick up his dribble he's screwed.

C'mon you two, you're in the NIL business now, let's make this happen!
No way. Caitlin Clark is too likeable for this risk -- Edey would elbow her in the face (like he does everyone else) and get away with it, claiming it was just "a normal basketball play" because of his size.

...glances at Purdue-Ohio State score...

Well...game on, I guess.

Edey vs Caitlin Clark in 1-on-1 is kind of a fascinating idea.
It's clear neither could defend the other. I'd assume Clark would win because she can hit threes at a higher rate by far.
You have to be kidding me....remember when a bunch of Dallas area 14-15 year old boys clobbered the US Women's soccer team? Any starter on a good HS boys team would beat Clark 1:1. If they are playing HORSE, different story. But the difference in strength and athleticism is too much if they are playing 1:1.

BTT, not NCAAT. If we win out, it would guarantee a 1 or 2 BTT seed but wouldn’t guarantee the 1 seed because Purdue currently owns the tiebreaker against us.
tie breaker is winning % against the 3rd place team (or the teams tied for 3rd place in the event a tie occurs).

Any D1 guard wins 21-0, but the physics of Edey and the open floor of 1:1 make him uniquely limited in this scenario.

One thing I did think of though: Edey is a decent free throw shooter and has hit a three pointer, and Clark is not challenging his shot in any way shape or form. Could he just casually shoot a 3?

Don’t forget the ball size difference. It makes a difference

You might find the results of the study surprising…

Edey is an offensive force. He hits his FTs enough, so you can’t just hack-a-Zach.

And defensively, he alters the opponent’s offensive strategy like no one else, maybe no one in 10 years. I’d compare him to a great cornerback like Revis - over time the interception totals decrease because no one will even throw it your way. Edey gets plenty of blocks, but he doesn’t get statistical credit for how much less an opponent even attempts drives and low-post baskets.

So yeah, he’s the best player in my opinion.

Exhibit 1 is how our team looked the first 10 minutes of the first game against him - scared. Hopefully, the second time around they won't be.

Only caveat here is if both of the winning percentages are equal against the 3rd place team in the standings, winning percentages against the 4th, 5th, 6th, etc. teams will be compared until either us or Purdue has a higher percentage against one of them. So if we win out and Purdue only loses against us, we’ll both get a share of the title but Purdue will get the #1 seed because of our MSU loss (assuming the standings stay the same). Obviously a lot can change, but that’s where it’s at now.

Rutgers (84) @ Minnesota (81) tied at half.

I'm thinking we want Rutgers to win this game, seeing as how Illinois has defeated them twice. Plus them doing well and making there way to top 75 would help the Illini's resume. Yeah?

Will that matter if they take the Puds down on 3/2? Here is to hoping 🤞
