you could for sure make a case with their erratic guards, you'd take your chances.

I, cant speak for all fans who say that, so ill speak for me even though you didn't address me specifically. Mostly just preferences on matchups - when we dominate the glass, we dominate the matchup, and Florida has an elite frontcourt and rebounding team.

I'm quite high and confident in this team. Take a peek at previous comments 😉
You said you didn't want to be on their side of the bracket. That doesn't sound like someone quite high and confident in this team. That's just how I see it.

Anyway like I said it's hard to get a read on them because the SEC is not a good conference. They are beating a bunch of teams equivalent to Iowa and below right now. They may have an elite front court time will tell but I don't care if they are in our bracket or not, we will be a better team than anything they've faced in months.

I feel it's quite all right to say id prefer playing a poor rebounding team, or a guards who aren't as quick without someone making a grand assumption I think the team sucks or isn't remotely capable of winning any way - that's just how i see it, though.

I will say too…had Purdue really righted the ship or did they just get lucky and get an F minus Nebraska effort for about 25 minutes?

Feel like we’ve drawn a disproportionate share of A games this year. How many tough fallaways did Smith hit against us? And how many TKR floaters bounced around the rim and rolled in? There is a world where those 2 shoot a mere 50% from the field and we have an even more impressive win than Michigan.
This was my frustration with why they jumped up 6 spots in the AP poll and ahead of us this week. It made no sense especially being that we beat them in their own place a few weeks ago. The poll really didn't make them earn that spot. Beating Michigan tonight would have made them earn that spot over us.

I know the AP poll is bs and means nothing but like Big Worm said in Friday 'it's da principalities'

Why is saying you’d rather not have a particular team in your bracket a bad thing? We aren’t the players. We are the fans. I can feel very good about this team yet still prefer to play teams we match up best against. If you desire all the harder matchups, well, that’s a strategy.

The SEC is the number one conference in the NET. Not because they have the most elite teams but because they are strongest top to bottom. But saying the sec isn’t a good conference is inaccurate.

This makes no sense. "Don't want to be on their side of the bracket" has absolutely nothing to do with "high and confident in this game."

Not wanting to be in someone's bracket just means you want to avoid a particular matchup that is comparitively more problematic than other possible matchups.

Right now the projected 3 seeds are: Gonzaga, Kansas, Texas Tech, and Florida. What's the issue with saying he'd RATHER see one of the other 3 compared to Florida?

It's the same thing with UCONN two years ago. Would you rather have been in UCONN's bracket or North Carolina's?

Of all the fanfare of Morez, Yaxel, Mara (rightfully so, as well) - to me, the biggest addition to that team and what makes them go is Cadeau.

I give Dusty credit on that, I don't think UNC was exactly shedding tears he portaled. He can be wild, and sometimes even awful, but by and large, he's been a huge net positive.
he was good tonight along with their other backups but I think he's one of the potential Achilles heals because of turnovers. even in this win Michigan has 14 turnovers. also he's a sub 70% free throw shooter which isn't great from your primary handler if they get in close games

maybe my hatred of Michigan is clouding my judgement but I can't believe a team with their guards is gonna go all the way. that front court is a amazing and their defense is amazing but to me the guards are a weak spot

It does make sense. Saying that to me says you have very little confidence Illinois can beat them and what makes it worse to me is that he said he has 'high confidence'. If he has that kind of confidence you shouldn't be worried about seeing any team on our side of the bracket. You can see it how you want to see it and let me see how I want to see it. So it makes sense to ME.

Now go cry about the people wanting Andrej to play last week.

Iowa getting home court calls like we do. Worst one was Hoiberg stealing it while he was out of bounds.

What could be the blueprint to beating them? They have 1 loss (Wisconsin) and 4 other close games (TCU, Wake, PSU, Nebraska)

The similarities in all of those games are:

Michigan shot under 50% from the field
Michigan shot 32% or less from three point range
Michigan averaged 16 turnovers in those 5 games

You do not have to:

Outrebound them... Michigan held an avg +7.2 margin in those 5 games
Shoot exceptionally well... Wake 34%, TCU 37%, Penn St 35%, Wisconsin 50%, Nebraska 46%
Shoot the 3 well... Wake 10-34, TCU 7-24, Penn St 8-30, Wisconsin 15-33, Nebraska 11-32
Make more free throws... Michigan held an avg +6.4 margin in free throws made in those 5 games

Looking at it game by game, it looks like you basically have to turn them over and contest shots:

Wake shot 34% overall, missed 24 threes, got outrebounded, but nearly won because Michigan shot 4-25 from three and turned it over 17 times.
TCU shot 37% overall, missed 17 threes, got crushed on the glass 44-23, made 6 less FTs, but nearly won because Michigan had 22 turnovers.
Penn St shot 35% overall, missed 22 threes, but outrebounded Michigan by 6, had 2 less turnovers, Michigan shot poorly again (8-27 from 3).
Wisconsin did shoot well 50% overall and made 15-33 threes, did not win turnover margin... this is the one that's a little different than the others.
Nebraska was down 2 rotation players, missed 21 threes, Michigan won FT margin +19 and rebound margin +12 but had 19 turnovers.

Buckeyes are going to win tonight over the Badgers. How did Wisconsin beat us on our home floor. They played poorly tonight
