Self defense. Some ahole in a hostile environment shoves a hand with an object in it at my face unexpectedly they might get more than their phone swatted at.

I don’t know why but I gave the field of 68 a listen to hear them gush about Michigan. They think Michigan is the favorite which is more than fair but named teams they thought could give Michigan trouble. UConn, Arizona and Florida all mainly due to the fact that they could match Michigans size. You know who’s bigger than Michigan? Illinois! And the only team that beat Michigan this year did so because they had stretch bigs. And who has the best shooting front court in the country? Illinois! And who is a couple of injuries and a defensive rebound or missed free throw or 2 from a 15 game winning streak? Illinois!

I swear I don’t know how people get to where they get to.

Perhaps you could just not claim to be aware of the whole field of teams if you can't keep up. It isn't that hard to define your scope by what you can actually do. Seems sort of honest, actually. Not that honesty is involved in this business.

I do think Arkansas could give us some trouble. Think we are susceptible to quick athletic guards who can shoot and athletic bigs. They have both.

Well then you’d be on the wrong side of the law. It’s not remotely self defense. He had a phone not a weapon.

IANAL but how on Earth in a functional society is the “crime” Hoiberg committed anything more serious than damaging someone else’s property, lmao. I don’t doubt necessarily that others here are right about it being “assault,” but that’s an insanely stupid law if it covers forcibly removing a phone from your face that someone else put there, lol.
