Mid-week B1G EM update:
Thoughts:
- Michigan has clinched last place in the B1G after a 30 point loss to the previous 13th best team.
- Illinois' offense has continued to improve during conference play, now almost matching Purdue (who has the best offense in the country and one of the most efficient offenses of all time)
- Illinois' defense is now below average efficiency after Wednesday's game. Maybe sometime soon they won't play a team that shoots 70% on jumpers. Law of averages, right?
- Double bye is clinched for Purdue, almost clinched for Illinois.
- Wednesday game clinched for Michigan, but the other 3 spots are still very much up for grabs among Maryland, Ohio State, Rutgers, Indiana, Penn State, and Minnesota. Going by EM, Indiana and Rutgers are trending towards first round spots, but Maryland has the record to overcome (they finish against Indiana and PSU).
