I'm still not sold. Storr had some highlight plays, but was 8/23 on the day. Can we get Hepburn instead?

If we play Wisconsin/Storr tomorrow, we surely have a "clause" in our contract with him that he will be a complete no show tomorrow....right? I kid...I kid

Purdue fan here. The officiating was horrible. Hard to beat Wisconsin with the referees in their pockets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not really. I don't like Purdue and I don't like anybody that does.

I rooted for them a little when they had Mike Steele and Robin McCarter from Robinson playing for them. That was the mid 70s
Edey got 3 gift calls from the refs in OT.

Does anybody want to be the bearer of bad news to Purduesports.com?

Which was on full display in that OT. Even the announcers were saying that should have been a charge on him and wasn't a foul on that box out that happened the next time down. That was just infuriating watching the refs hand him those bunnies at the line.
These were national CBS announcers, that’s why they spoke freely. Big Ten announcers are subject to the same rules about Edey love as the Big Ten refs are.

From Purdue board, funny but they blame the ref for the loss. Officiating was horrible huh...too funny

I know we aren't supposed to consider this game or tournament a big deal and focus more on the NCAA's but we really had the game right there for the taking and didn't make WI have to work for it. We had double digit turnovers in the second half, most of which were just sloppy passes (Mason Gillis a fifth year senior had about 5 of those turnovers). We also missed a lot of free throws which would have made a difference in the end. Edey lost his composure early for a ridiculous technical which cost him most of the first half. Every game we have lost this year has come down to missed FT's and turnovers. Hepburn had Smith rattled in the OT and after he picked up that marginal offense foul call, he should have been taken out for a taller, more physical defender. Hepburn was killing Smith in the lane the entire game. The pass that Edey missed was really unfortunate and would have sealed the deal but that is not why we lost. The officiating was horrible but what else is new; Courtney Green spells disaster For Purdue. We play like this in the real tourney and we will get bounced again

So I go from watching a game with free flowing offense to watching Iowa State-Houston, which will be a no holds barred defensive street fight.
