Close losses were hard to take...now we've been embarrassed. I really hope this isn't the death knell of our recruiting for next season, we have to get help.

Smith had another "ghost" game, Kipper again gave us nothing, Finke was well Finke nothing else, Black was at least aggressive, was losing cool late though, Frazier had an unlike him game of not being our hero, Williams did not show up for most part, Alstork played defense/rebounded, shot is ugly right now.

Oh yea they caught Bandit late at the 1:52 minute mark.

They ran stuff that didn't work all night long. The dribble hand off and drive to the basket never works....ever....and they continue to run it. We ran a zone for some reason that blew the game wide open....

0-6 start was bad but, there were several games we could have/should have won. Others we were competitive in. This game is more worrisome to me. We looked like a dysfunctional team. The Lucas thing is troubling and it looked like it (or the close losses) has affected the whole team. Not sure where we can go from here at least this season.

Offense in general was stagnant, uninteresting, bland, and lacking any cohesiveness in order to get us easy looks.:chief:

Athletes? Who? We are maybe the MOST worse athletic team in a P5 conference. Agree, they may not be basketball players either though

Smith, Vessel, Ebo,and Williams would have to be considered athletes with the way they move.....

Smith does not appear to have a vertical. Think that limits his upside. He may be a point but he likely is not better than Ayo. Going to have to learn to play off ball and make outside shots.

But every time that we ran that 7 second offense we were lights out. Oh wait. Should have known what kind of night it was going to be when we had a shot clock violation on the very first offensive possession.

Finke, Smith, Kipper, Lucas, and Jordan have all regressed. Underwood has to be assigned blame for at least some of that.

Jordan hasn't regressed, nor has TeJon. TeJon is outplayed by Frazier, but he hasn't regressed. Smith's a frosh, not sure how he can regress.

The Groce fan club seems to be out in force tonight.

I'll give you all those except Smith. He has no college ball to regress from...

Granted, I thought he'd be further along, but a freshman is still a freshman..

Sorry disagree, Smith was an athlete in HS...the game and players have caught up to him, that said I think his IQ with confidence will get him turned around for a good career long term.

Vessel, can't be considered anything as of yet, because he has done nothing to go off of.

Ebo, diamond in the rough stolen from UIC, that should tell us all we need to know, athlete though yes.

Williams, a great rebounding guard, ball handler coming in...jury out as of now.

Earlier this year, we could swap Frazier and Lucas if one of them was having a bad game. Well, tonight Frazier came back to earth a bit, but Lucas never saw the floor. That's a lot of pressure to put on a freshman.
