Damn straight I’m mad. I expect to have a team that can find a way when down a couple players. I expect to have a home environment that other teams fear. I expect a lot from Illinois basketball. I’ve been very vocal about the loss of Illinois’ home court advantage. There is no home court advantsge for Illinois. I hate watching this team play in Champaign.

Pathetic defensive and rebounding effort. Another inexcusable home loss. Total fail: B10 conference "administration", officials, coaches, player effort (with the exception of KW).

Starting to worry this is going to be another wasted season.
Oh give me a break.

And I am SICK and TIRED of having ZERO home court advantage …

To every single person in the Orange Krush tonight … You should be EMBARRASSED !!!!!!!

Absolutely pathetic !!!!!!!!

I think the SFC renovation killed the Krush. Prior to the renovation it was set up to where the crowd could get super loud. Putting in the expensive seats for the blue hairs killed the atmosphere from what it used to be in the early to mid 2000s

Glad to see I'm not the only one P!$$&< off that our student section is totally and completely LAME. Does anyone understand whats going on there? We've gone from one of the best home court atmospheres to one of the worst IMO. There are like 3 students being rowdy and everyone else just stands around, arms crossed with uninterested dumb faces. Have a little pride for chrissakes...

Oh, and the main reason Brad has to rip into the refs is because the players will see him standing up for his guys. It always seems to motivate teams whenever coaches do it and I think that would add that killer mentality we've been lacking recently.

Petro is horrendous … Absolutely horrendous …

Who are you playing him or Lee over ?? It wouldn’t yield better results …

Brad won’t come out and say it … But clearly he’s saying what he thinks of them with the allocation of minutes …
That’s not really for us to figure out, is it? These are all Brad’s guys. If he really has five who are unplayable, that’s his cross to bear. If we can praise him for Wagler (and we should) we sure as hell can get in his !!! for having no depth.

For those saying Petrovic and Lee aren’t playable GMAFB. We were up 14 at one point at a minimum you bring in one of those dudes to spell our starters and then stagger bringing in the other guy to spell the starters.

This was a coaching loss.

2nd game in a row where one stupid thing doesn’t happen and we just win in regulation

The Z jump ball being the stupidest this game and the Fears trip being the stupidest in the last one
Crazy…yet true.

But why do we only have 8 players though? Wisconsin ran with 9 tonight. Why don’t we have more depth so that if 1-2 goes down we are not completely !!!!ed?

I said before Sparty the most important thing was to come out with no injuries. Didn’t happen.

I always say it’s not who you play so much as when you play them. And of course we face the one team you don’t want to see without our 2 best guard defenders where they are coming off of a complete screw job of a loss where we are going to get their A+ effort on a quick turn. When wisconsins bigs hit 3s they can beat anybody and they were 6-11 tonight. So, so frustrating.

But, really gutsy performance given the circumstances. Probably snakebit out of a conference championship yet again but you look at all of the rotten, fluky things that have to happen for this team to lose a basketball game, we are a hell of a team. Let’s get healthy these next 3 weeks and go on a run. When we have anyone and are firing on all cylinders we are darn near impossible to beat.

It’s multi faceted. The atmosphere is not as good Pep band barely is used during games. Crush seems wholly unengaged as well. The remodel didn’t help and Brads habit of rolling out 2 or 3 of these turds at home every year doesn’t help either.

I know the Krush has done some great charitable things in the past. But basing seating on fund raising has run its course. The athletic dept has to find a way to get the knowledgable, rabid fans on the floor. It's pathetic watching kids who don't know what they're watching with folded arms, checking phones, only yelling for nuggets FOR GOD's SAKE. Figure it out, Josh!

Agree with others, our home court "advantage" is meh. Crowd might be worse than the performance on the court and that's saying something.

Also, I don't want to hear "tired legs" on FT's. You work on those at the end practice for this very purpose. These guys are 18-22 years old. That should never be an excuse.

Is this something that Whitman sees as a problem? I can’t believe it hasn’t been addressed. Krush has been bad for a long time. Can’t be that hard to fix.

Well what the hell was Brad doing in the Transfer Portal and let’s be real they had no idea Keaton was going to be this good. If it wasn’t for Keaton we don’t even make the NCAA tournament. The problem has reared its ugly head again and it’s Brad. I said all along it was mistake letting Tre White and Drayvon and Morez go. I would Trade Tre White for AndreJ in a heartbeat. I would trade Drayvon for Petro. Brad doesn’t know how to evaluate talent. Mirk and Keaton who Tyler lucked up and found are the only players on this team worth a damn

Wagler did not look like he was having any fun tonight - a lot of pressure to just put the ball in his hands and expect him to bring us home. Don't get me wrong, he is capable, but sheesh, we need some others to step up. Mirk was awful tonight and Tomi looked like he did not want the ball down the stretch.
