That's a winner!!
OH
I saw a funny tweet that said something like:

Headline: Crazed gun-toting white supremacist shoots unarmed black man while he was peacefully discussing his religion with co-worker.

There are lots of comments about him being driven by his Faith. I'm just not sure he wasn't merely a crazy man. If he did it because of his faith it wouldn't shock me. I just haven't seen any evidence of that yet.

If you're killing someone "because of your faith" you're a crazy man, right?

Not really. It could be your Faith that is crazy. Depends on what you have been taught about it. In general everyone that kills someone for almost any reason is a bit nuts in my book but if your faith preaches murder and you follow through with that, I'd see that as different than if you are hearing voices you think are God and they are telling you to kill.

From the perspective of the faithful having a faith that teaches murder and hearing voices that you think are god telling you to kill are the same thing. I think. I don't really know, there are a lot of things people in the world do that I find impossible to wrap my head around.

Apparently its not illegal to buy baby body parts in Thailand.

http://www.cnn.com/2014/11/16/world/asia/thailand-infant-body-parts/index.html?hpt=hp_t2

"Thai police say they've been in touch with the U. S. Embassy and that the tourist's name has not been revealed because he hasn't committed any crimes or been formally charged."

"Some Thais practice black magic and believe that supernatural power comes from infant body parts, if the rites are performed by monks or sorcerers. They believe that having the items provide protection and business success and can ward off bad luck."

If you’ve ever wondered what happens when a Harvard Business School professor thinks a family-run Chinese restaurant screwed him out of $4, you’re about to find out.

(Hint: It involves invocation of the Massachusetts Consumer Protection Statute and multiple threats of legal action.)

http://www.boston.com/food-dining/r...hinese-food/KfMaEhab6uUY1COCnTbrXP/story.html

This guy may be amongst the least intelligent guys on the planet and he has a couple of Harvard degrees. Funny story that shows that sometimes you can be utterly clueless despite having a pretty prestigious education. Boston.com basically makes him look like a complete moron in the story and it looks like he may have approached them about the story. Pretty funny stuff.

I stopped reading after the third or forth exchange between the two. Triple his money back is a little outrageous, but I've had problems with a couple fast food places i get food from who love to put cheese on my hamburger even though I tell them not to when I order and at the window. I've had to drive back to this place countless times (50% of the time I go there) over the last five years. Gas money, time, and the inconvenience adds up IMHO.

The last time it happened, I luckily checked my food before I left even though I reiterated my order twice, and of course it was wrong. I ended up waiting 20 minutes for my food, and the manager brings me out a order of chicken fingers. I tell him there is more to the order, and I have to wait another 20 minutes. He offered a full refund, but I'm not in the business of totally getting over on them even though this time would warrant an action like that. I said give me a strawberry sundae and we're good. He looked surprised, and fulfilled my request.

I'm always ranting to my friends and wife about this place, and they tell me, what do you expect? I'm a dummy though, and I expect these people to care even if they make a low wage.

Five-year-old boy gets a bill for missing school friend's birthday party

A FIVE-year-old boy has been handed an invoice – for missing his friend’s birthday party.

And now his parents claim they have been threatened with the possibility of court action if they don’t stump up the cash.

Derek Nash and his partner, who live in Torpoint, discovered the ‘no show fee’ invoice for £15.95 in their son’s school bag last week.

Mr Nash, a delivery driver, said he “thought it was a joke”.

I've kept a watch on the Iranian negotiations for many years now, and it never ceases to amaze me how many 'headlines' have proclaimed a break through or success is imminent. Everyone seems to forget that Iran's position has always been 'anything that restricts my nuclear program is off the table ... otherwise negotiations are going great'.

http://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/iran-foreign-minister-we-believe-we-are-very-close-nuke-n317356

Now I'm wondering just what the h__l Obama and Kerry think they're negotiating.

"He (Zarif) added: "We are prepared to work round the clock in order to reach an agreement. We believe that we are very close, very close and we could be very far." He said "there are details that need to be worked out."

"We are very close if the political decision can be made to get to yes, as President Obama said," he said.

http://www.nationalreview.com/artic...ran-nuclear-talks-william-tobey-robert-joseph

"John Kerry haltingly explained the dramatic shift in the Obama administration’s aims in testimony last April: “I think it’s public knowledge today that we’re operating with a time period for a so-called breakout of about two months. Six months to twelve months is — I’m not saying that’s what we’d settle for, but even that is significantly more.”

Egyptian court sentences 115 defendants to life in prison all in one fell swoop.
One of the defendants was charged with four counts of murder, eight of attempted murder, one vandalisation of property and another count of threatening soldiers and police officers. The defendant had not yet reached his second birthday at the time of the "crime". Make anyone suspicious of Egyptian courts?
