Our grad programs are every bit as good or better, depending upon the major, than the schools you listed and we just inked back-to-back the best players in the state, one of whom is rated in the 20s nationwide and the other was a late comer with UK, MSU, Duke and others recruiting him. Getting this kid wouldn't surprise me in the least.
Same. When did interest from Wisconsin or Northwestern make it an uphill battle?

THT should have put some Northwestern fans in their place and when is the last time Wisconsin beat Illinois on a priority Illinois target? Even under Bo.

As far as Michigan is concerned they already had to crean a big for Colin so that's just not a realistic spot.

Illinois has a great shot here despite the "hot takes" of possible destinations via a friends texts lol..

What in the world does race have to do with this story? I could understand if a white coach cut every black kid on the team or vice versa, but cutting one is hardly a good basis for crying racism as some of these folks seem to be doing.

Nepotism is a more credible charge.

I was going to pose a question regarding this issue. I am going to assume ( dangerous I know) a kid who graduates early from Dartmouth probably has his non- basketball future in mind when choosing his next school.

Wondering how we stack up in that department.

Yea would gladly take him. Wouldn't expect much for a year or two in terms of production from him but it would go a long ways to adding depth to our front court once Black and Finke graduate.

What a mess. Hard to believe Finke has a dozen or so other players better than a 2 year starter that he should be cut. Something is missing to this story.

Re: Bailey Dee

What if the breakup was more mutual than publicly stated? Food for thought.

This guy is so quick with his feet. I can't believe he's ranked that low.

Back in the day, my youngest brother, by 4 years, came down for a football game with my cousin (4 years my elder). When they sat down to catch their breath, my brother, a senior and 3 year player for his high school, told me he was cut from the basketball team. I was speechless. I don't remember what the reason was, but I do remember that the team was really senior-heavy that year. I just rationalized that the coach wanted, needed, to get some underclassmen on the team for development purposes. But then I also remember that the there were no underclassmen that were better than my brother. They called him Jerry West for gosh sakes!

How uncomfortable would that be if he gets on the team now? The coach is in a lose/lose situation at the point. If they uphold the decision, he's a racist and if they over turn the decision he's a racist who is going to have to walk on eggshells regarding how he's coached. If he screams, it will be perceived that he's being too hard on him and if he lays off, he'll be perceived as showing special treatment.

Taking kids out of school....yeah, that makes a ton of sense. Idiots.
