Pretty sure that KU was one of Jackson's "dream schools". I thought I heard him say that in an ESPN interview around the Nike EYBL camp, still KU may not be the one and done factory that UK is, but it is an elite BB school that frequently puts players in the first round of the draft.
Since BS has been at KU no school has been as consistently good as they have. I would say that if we get to that point; late offers from us will be treated the same way. |

Quite the line there from O'Mara. Wonder why he is waiting to commit...

Those quotes sound great. I know it's early but I'm guessing Illinois will be at the top of his list. Benet is becoming a basketball factory as of late.

Anybody seen him play? Any player comparisons or ideas on the type of game he plays? Thx.

This is a legit offer. O'Mara could accept it whenever he wants.
Fwiw, Marquette also offered him today |

They've addressed this already. Once they offer a player a scholarship, it's first come, first served. O'Mara is another player on the rise. He's considered right now to be one of the top big man prospects in his class outside of Okafor and Alexander -- both of whom will be playing elsewhere for their 1 year. |

I like O'Mara. He has some game. I hope he adds another inch or two to his 6-8. Morgan and O'Mara would be a nice center combo. Imo

The Schmidt brothers have gone up with some interesting tweets today about the impending recruiting war between the Illini and Marquette. I expect that they'll have a story up soon.

He'd be a very good get for us. Guessing us and WI are the 2 teams to beat for his services. His game would fit WI well.

2013: Hill, Morgan, Ennis and Jackson (wonder if Semi will bite)
2014: Bates-Diop, Zabo, O'Hara (Ennis/Jackson are one-n-done) 2015: Floodgates open. Dunno. Have a feeling that Shaw and/or Djimde might transfer along the way. ????? |

Surprised they haven't already. At this point my bet is that they're just waiting to see who will be added to the team and then will decide.

Shaw has dropped 15 pounds already and Ibby has been one of the leaders of the most shots made in practice. That doesn't sound like two guys who are getting ready to leave to me.

Shaw will be here for 4 yrs. IMO. I was just as frustrated with Shaw's lack of PT last year as I was with Leonard's the year before. I'm not sold that Ibby is a B10 caliber player. This is a big year for him. |

Can't blame Shaw's lack of playing time on the coaches. He wasn't good enough to be in the rotation last year. Hopefully, this year he will be.
