Kendrick retweeted someone saying its a great day for a verbal.

Another retweet was someone suggesting he get on the video board at the Football game and verbal there. How sweet would that be?

First of all, great to see so many new folks here. I encourage you to start posting (if you haven't already) and stick around for the long haul if you already have. It's a great community and consistently has the best information around.

Also, I'd just like to say this week has restored my faith in Illini basketball. I have to admit, during Shaka Watch and in the aftermath I was starting to buy into the talk that Illinois didn't have the power we thought it did, that we were all being unrealistic when we hoped to be a top 15ish program or a player on the national scene. It was hard not to when we ended up with a guy like Groce who was off the radar, Jabari left us off, and it seemed like we were going to end up with Jaylon Brown.

But the way things have turned around shows us we still have the juice to be a national power, and we have a guy in place who can get us there.

I never thought we could be considered the favorite for a 5* PG from Indiana we started recruiting less than 6 months ago. I never thought we would have hundreds of fans who cared enough to tweet Kendrick Nunn on his visit. I never thought we could hang in a recruitment for a highly ranked, nationally recruited player from Canada with offers from Arizona, UConn, Kansas, etc.

Glad to see what we're capable of.

Positive vibes on the program. I couldn't be more happier. Groce and the staff have made up vast ground since stepping on campus. Let's hope Nunn confirms what we are posting/reading soon.

Was told by someone close to the staff tha Jackson will come to Illinois. The only worry was if Kansas suddenly gets involved by somehow losing outon Barber. The focus is now on XRM.

Gotta respect the Jayhawks and Self. Here's to hopin' Barber seals the deal with them, which I believe he will.

Are you kidding? If Kansas stopped recruiting criminals, they would become Missouri State. They seem to subscribe to the Alan Pinkett theory that criminals make your team better.

J.R. Giddens stole thousands of dollars in electronics from Walmart and he still ended up playing for KU.

Yes. Newest follows up top. XRM wasn't following Nunn yesterday.
