I sat basically next to him at the Northwestern - Illinois game at Northwestern this year. He was not there to watch Northwestern. I was glancing over here and there and he was focused solely on the Illini and Weber/Snacks during the game. I was surprised he did his top 10 and did not give Groce and Illinois a shot. You never know if he decides to wait until the Spring. Extremely doubtful though, but crazier things have happened. |

I was a bit skeptical about Coach Groce when he was hired but now there are no doubts. He is all over the country promoting the brand and getting the name out there. Kendrick Nunn is a huge commit for this program. Even more so than Richmond because Kendrick has no character issues. I love this guy. D-Jack we want you here bro!!!!!!

If we land Jackson, and I mean IF, how will he manage that position/starting position/minutes between Tracy and Demetrius in the years coming forward? First year I believe it will be Tracy and DJack in the backcourt. However, the next few years should be interesting with Nunn and Hill. Tracy will obviously be older and more experienced. However, Demetrius is undoubtedly more talented. He's a different player than Tracy. I guess I'm just not use to having these type of problems. Having too many good/talented players to start and fill minutes. It's an amazing feeling to have. I wanna give a S/O to Coach Groce down here in Southern Illinois.Alot of you probably have never even been down here, however there some down here who still love their ILLINI and haven't turned to the dark side (UK). Maybe DJack waits a few days to give his commitment so he gets his own excitement? If it were me, I'd let the Nunn excitement settle down and then announce my commitment. I have to hope the ball is rolling now for an epic recruiting class.

I am so fired up that Kendrick Nunn and family are joining the Illini family.
Welcome Aboard. We welcome you with open arms, My home is always open to you and your family Kendrick. There is an old saying "Build it and they shall come". There is no doubt in my military mind that you will accomplish that. We love having you aboard. |

Awesome news when I read this earlier. Sounds like the in home absolutely sealed the deal. I'm looking forward to "Nunn for ONE!!!!!!" over the PA every time he hits a free throw.

No worries. Was just giving Salty a hard time. With Barber and others commiting this weekend, we should get one from Jackson soon. I still think he waits until after the ND visit out of respect for them.
