Days hon smith is solid and scheduled to visit after others decide, need a PG and can't quit recruiting backups until verbals are solid, public and visits cancelled.

This seems logical. If Dayshon Smith doesn't plan on visiting until after Oct. 13th, then we will already know whether or not we have at least XRM, and probably whether we have DJ as well.

I think this is just Groce having a plan B in case one (or {shudder} both) choose to go elsewhere.

Remember, according to a few insiders, the odds that we get Jackson are pretty good. The odds that we get both XRM and Jackson aren't nearly as high.

Agree, we have been recruiting Smith for a few months now. His scheduled visit is well after everyone else we are going after should have decided by.

Always good to have other options just in case.

...wonder if Groce told him this as a selling point. Strange that Mr. Nunn would say that before DJ actually commits and then vocalizes that in public, especially being so specific to say "the next few days."

The pessimist in me says "What if DJ goes elsewhere?" Does Nunn's dad start to question JG and ponder his son going elsewhere? After all, KN did commit once before to TAM.

It's been said before if Jackson does not come here it's not because of Groce. So to answer your question I doubt it. If anybody knows how recruiting goes Melvin does.

Nunn onboard only strengthens our position with DJ. Unless DJ has a last second change of heart, it's already done.

yeah, but this whole dj thing reminds me a little too much of the shaka and stevens search. (as it turns out, i wouldn't trade groce for having those 2 on the same staff. . .)
