Just noticed that on HQ, just reveiwed his highlight tape, looks like a quality athlete!

Rock was a 3 star in the 2009 class. Had some pretty decent high major offers like Cinci, Washington State, Indiana, Minnesota

Rock is a fast, physical athlete at a position of need. It certainly seems like he has had his share of problems, but given our current needs this is probably a risk worth taking.

More solid depth at safety is always a good thing.

I am glad to hear a good prospect is coming, but after not playing for a couple years, I wonder how long it will take for him to be ready for Div-1 football. We may not see him on the field until 2011.

He hasn't missed a cpl years - just one and he has been working out. He looks great in the photo all decked out in O & B !

He is a solid pick up that might have a bit of catching up to do but nothing too tough to over come. Rated a solid three star by every service !

You have to admit, that if he ends up on the two-deep after a year off and a few weeks of practice in our schemes-well, we've got a SERIOUS lack of depth.

Or more importantly, a serious lack of talent at safety.

I am not thinking two deep this coming season; but if it happens ---> your right - we have a problem there. I'd think this young man will need at least a year to shape up before contributing much.

But he looks like a solid prospect and perfect size at safety. For 2010 - we are what we are and all of us hope every one plays a tad better than expected resulting in 6 wins (or more) !

Hope so. Hope we can outplay our expectations, and I hope that this young man has done a little growing up on the books side of things during his year off.

IMO serious lack of depth (or talent) at safety is due more to prior years poor coaching and player development than to lack of horses. There are enough athletes - candidates at the position, but it is now up to Koenning to finish developing them into good players
