No B1G teams in the top ten but there are five ranked 11-20.
Michigan fell hard (rightly so) all the way to #19 |

I don't want to be ranked in any poll. Generally speaking, when Illinois revenue sports teams get ranked nationally, bad things happen. Just keep cruzin' along and don't worry about the rankings.

all that game shows was how deep the SEC is. if the #9 team in the country struggled against the bottom feeders of the SEC, that CLEARLY shows how deep the league is. NOT how bad SC played. right?

Just distribute the SEC throughout the country, giving a couple teams to each major conference. It isn't even fair anymore.
Of course, I would hate all of the recruiting violations and criminals to come to the Big Ten...eh, just let OSU go from the Big Ten while we're at it. __________________ ILLINI BEARS CUBS BULLS BLACKHAWKS Class of 2016 ![]() Last edited by Illini2016; Sep 4, 2012 at 06:04 PM. Reason: Nonsense |

I think some schools, such as South Carolina get a boost in the polls simply due to the fact that they're in the SEC. The Big Ten's problem at the moment, is we don't have any elite teams. We have several good teams (10-25 range), but no Top 5 teams.

Vandy isn't that bad of a team guys. They will probably beat Northwestern at home(I'm predicting by a sizeable margin).

Franklin is a good coach. probably too good to stat at Vandy too long. too bad, as he could get them to continual national respect, although forget about trying to win the SEC East division, although its a bit easier than trying to win the SEC West

Vandy got hosed in that game. How the refs missed the pass interference call in the waning minutes of the game is beyond me. Since when is it okay for the defender to pull the receiver's hand away from him before the ball gets to him. If it was not for Spurrier being the coach at South Carolina, they would not be ranked as high as they are. Truly believe that ranking is about the coach & not the talent on the team. They will lose a game or two to one of the bottom feeders in the SEC this year. They have a decent defense but they are offensively challenged when it comes to passing the ball. They have a really good running back in Lattimore but that is about it.
