ESPN 24 hour marathon:
8 a.m.: Northern Illinois at Valparaiso. 10 a.m.: Harvard at Massachusetts. 12 p.m.: Temple at Kent State. 2 p.m.: Detroit at St. John's. 4 p.m.: Butler at Xavier. 7 p.m.: Michigan State vs. Kansas. 9:30: Duke vs. Kentucky. Michigan takes on Cleveland State on ESPN2 at 7. Weber and KSU were supposed to take on North Texas and Tony Mitchell, formerly of Mizzou fame. But NT lost to a d2 team, so Weber and his boys get showcased on ESPN2 tonight in what should be a bloodbath. |

Watching Valpo vs. NIU. It was 23-17 -- at HALF. I really hope those days are over for us.

Yep i live in dekalb they built this awesome arena but in a horrible location. That last coach they had from colorado (pattinson or something??) Set them back 5+ years he was horrible. He posted the most rounds at my golf course the past 3 summers, niu alum would get in arguments with him there it was a mess

Well, caught everything through the start of the 3 AM game... needless to say, my 6:45 AM alarm was quickly snoozed, sounds like I didn't miss much not seeing any of the NIU game! Tried to relive my youthful days of watching at least a few minutes of every game but I guess I'm getting too old for such pursuits

I like Duke tonight. Kentucky still needs time to gel as a unit. Man, it's good to be talking about basketball again!

I mean, I'll guess I'll pull for Sparty because of the B1G and everything, but I'm so sour on Izzo following last year I wouldn't mind if Self gave him the business.

I agree 100% on Izzo. Needs to stick to his own knitting. Don't recall everyone giving him a public load of ##$*% about going around checking out the NBA. We let him figure out what was best for Team Izzo, he should let us figure out what is best for Team Illinois. Thanks for giving me a chance to rant !! Much appreciated.

I completely agree with you, out here in KC area Kansas still needs some time on the offensive end. There defense is pretty good though.

I wouldn't mind if Izzo never won another game ... I might root for KSU and Weber to beat him.

Izzo was just trying to be loyal to his buddy... yeah he went overboard with it but I can respect his motivation. I'll still root for sparty when they aint playing us.

When Izzo plays Self, we root for Izzo. What Izzo did was absolutely nothing compared to how Self treated us on his way out the door. Time may have let you forget, but not me. Go sparty!

Partially that, but his criticism of Illinois helped MSU recruit Parker. Izzo knew what he was doing.

We never had a real shot at Parker, neither before nor after Weber was fired.

MSU looks pretty sloppy in the first half against Kansas. They don't seem to have a lot of depth at the gaurd positions. However, I think we are going to struggle with their size and physical post play.

We didn't really recruit Traylor (#31). Mostly because of grades (he was ineligible at Kansas last year, ineligible his junior year in the CPL and went to IMG in FL to get grades up to sign in the spring), but also because Shaw's skill set fit better with that we were looking for at the time.
