At this point it feels a lot like 88-89, except I'm a lot further from campus than I was then.

Don't see us being better than Ohio State right now, but I'll take it.

I think we are going to fight with Minnesota and Michigan State for the 4 spot in the Big Ten. Indiana, Michigan and Ohio State all look better then the rest right now.

It was closer to home for Butler and the crowd split was actually halfway reasonable. Easy neutral site there.

To me, it's wide open now.

We have a coach who's going to have this team improving as the season goes along. We won the Maui title against a Butler team who now no one can deny is for real. Took care of business in the B1G/ACC Challenge, and worked a top 10 team in their house.

Why not us?

Pretty sure the highest we'll get is 3rd in the Big Ten. I would love for us to win the conference, but I just don't quite drink as much kool aid as some people on this board. Especially after watching Michigan right now. Don't see anyway that we can match up with Burke, Hardaway, and Robinson on the perimeter, and Morgan or McGary on the inside. NBA level talent and athleticism at every position.

I think we can match up with anyone on the perimeter, but inside is where we have weakness.
