Hawkins stock after today ... Per scouts ...
That's great. I watched yesterday and he was mostly just setting up behind the arc waiting for people to pass to him.... Which in this setting can be few and far between.17 points and playing aggressively.
He's looking like a legit NBA player for sure. I've always thought his game translates more to the NBA than college. His ability to guard all positions is going to be a massive asset in a league that is built on hunting the mismatch.Hawkins stock after today ... Per scouts ...
I've always thought so, too. He's got the size, length, and versatility that the NBA is looking for these days. Always much more of a Euro big man skillset than a traditional big, which is what the league is now. He's looking like a legit NBA player for sure. I've been beating that drum for a while. NBA is such a wide-open game, it really suits the way he is able to freelance and anticipate. Plus, he's so dang smart. He's an NBA player, I firmly believe that. His game is better suited to that league than ours.

Coleman seems to have a future as an announcer.
Podz agrees with youAwesome to see CoHawk get an interview as the player of the game for his combine match up. 17 points, 3-4 from 3, drove to the basket with confidence. Then ESPN says he is their 77th best player in the draft. Gimme a f@ck!n break. Didn't take anything away from his day though. I-L-L !
Their best is behind them, but I always thought Hawk would be a PERFECT fit playing on Golden State.Podz agrees with you
He plays for Warriors is kind like playing for us, the tallest player on the team with substantial time in 5. He will probably complain and then transfer to a team with a true center. /sTheir best is behind them, but I always thought Hawk would be a PERFECT fit playing on Golden State.
I'm pretty sure that.....Watching Hawk's highlights from yesterday on the front page, they keep emphasizing his time at Illinois under Brad. If he comes back, having commentators attaching another program's name to him is going to feel horribly gross. I want what's best for him, he'll always be ours, and I will cheer him no matter what, but please, just let some team give him a guarantee this year so we can avoid that ickiness in perpetuity.
He wants to stay in the draft. As he's said in interviews, he's outgrown college. He just needs a team to use an early second on him. He just helped his cause and ours. We'll see.I'm pretty sure that.....
