I couldn’t imagine being In Tolsons situation.

Graduated from high school early to get to college sooner........

Now waiting in limbo this late in the process to hear if he can enroll early.....wow. Terrible look. Hope the school gets him taken care of very soon.

This would be a back breaker

100% correct. Wtf are they doing? Getting harder and harder to put trust and faith in this staff/program when things like this can't get ironed out. Maybe there's something else behind the scenes, I guess.

This was an embarrassment when it happened under Beckman and continues to be under Lovie. There is way too much money being handed out for the football staff for this to happen. Add to it the craziness that was our DB recruiting for 2018 and this professional NFL staff looks amateur.

Don't assume that the problems are with the football staff. When my daughter was enrolling (cross country and track), she had issues with admissions, NOT the athletic department. Those issues came as a complete surprise to her, us, coaches and advisors BTW.

Seems as though the dumbest people at the university are in the administration. Not good. :tsk:

After landing just one Chicago area prospect in the Class of 2018 so far -- and he played his senior season in Florida -- it's clear the #illini are making an earlier push in the state's Class of 2019.

Makes me wonder if this means they are changing the way they are scouting prospects. Before this, the focus was on watching as much tape as possible before making an offer. Either they are starting that process earlier or just making offers earlier.

Or the staff is now able to look further ahead with recruiting? Coming in they had to fill the immediate holes and didn't have the luxury of spending too much time looking at guys a couple years down the road.

Now rated inside the Top 500 by 247sports ranking. Seems that he will be visiting Nebraska, and Oregon in the coming weeks so looks like a long shot

Looks like Abraham was down to see him today, so who knows.

Very possible. Maybe they like the talent better in 2019 than 2018, maybe they swung-and-missed on some important recruits and want to get a better start, maybe getting some rumblings about the lack of love for Illinois HS talent.

Yeah all sorts of good reasons for earlier offers, also in the last 1+ year of recruiting they likely have had some exposure to a lot of younger kids while scouting someone else or through camps

He looked really great in his highlight video. I realize college is a big step up but he appeared to be very good at a lot of things. I am happy to hear that he is staying.

He has to get here before he can stay. I hope the issues are in order so he can take that step.
