Merlin’s High School coach Antonio Pierce joined Herm Edwards staff at ASU. Safe to say they’re the favorite.

And this why i think Cory Patterson would be a good hire for Illinois. If we can land The Trinity kids because of him, it would be well worth it.

From a guy who is batting a thousand ;)

In all fairness, he's using the Adeoye "why announce if you are already committed" rationale for picking Allen to commit to Illinois.

He wrote that article about Allen's decision, though. Let's see if other CBs show up for Illinois.

When is the next signing period?

I ask so that I know how long I'd need to sweat out him decommitting and going somewhere else, IF he commits to us.

Looks like February 7th to April 1st

This leaves two weekends in between his announced "commitment" at the Polynesian Bowl and the first day he could sign.

He's said he will visit the school he "commits" to after the Polynesian Bowl, but there is still another weekend where he could take an additional official visit elsewhere.

I believe Appalachian State was the consensus here

Seems like we have effectively sleuthed out the long con that is being played here. Good work, team! :thumb:

Amazes me sometimes what a hiccup the admissions department can be to our athletes. Athletes are usually here for a specific reason and that is to play ball. They should not be held to the same standards as someone trying to get into MCB/Engineering etc (That is unless they want that program). I would suspect that an art major or engineering major or premed (For the most part) could not do what these athletes do and the same is probably true the other way around.
