and carrol phillips and smoot at ends clements and bain at dt

id walk barton up play side safety for run support and day playing the deep balls....

Not sure why you'd assume Mosely is getting beat out by Ahmari Hayes

It got to the point this year he didn even play much....or make any real impact......

though he has experience he hasnt been that great to me

Neither did Dunlap this season. When Beckman left, we didn't go as deep on the depth chart. Simple as that. It's not like other corners were playing over Mosely in the 2 deep.

Dunlap actually played more than mosely this year suprisingly....i expect him to really step up.....and cameron watkins will be a db to really watch

Yes, Dunlap was the first off the sidelines for us at DB, but he really didn't play very much either. My point was that we didn't go very deep in the secondary compared to past years, Bentley and Spence played a lot. That's not really damning of Mosely's abilities. I expect he will start alongside Dunlap

Hecklinski is looking at a pretty good te/wr in texas good size

We have 2 potential package deals where I would want both players on their own. I like the plan of the staff for this short period of time

I assume one of those package deals would be Nworah and Carmouche. The other?

Coach Hecklinski getting things done!

Sounds like we got a kid with orange and blue in his blood :thumb:

"I grew up wearing Illinois jerseys, watching Illinois football, visiting for games and just going back to campus for different events with my parents so I was always surrounded by Illinois. I dreamed of playing for the Fighting Illini since I was a little kid so it's just so huge for me and my family. It's still crazy to think about it but I'm really excited and I'm ready to get to work now."

Kramer Jr. will enroll at Illinois in the fall of 2016 and will then be added to a full scholarship starting in the spring 2017. Kramer Jr. scholarship will count towards the Class of 2017.

"Illinois has been with me for a long time in the process and this is a great way to get to live out my dream of playing for Illinois. I'm more than happy top greyshirt in the fall and still be a part of the team and the program."

Hinsdale Central kid. Good program to build ties with.

Anyone know where we stand with Brodner?

Good pickup. Welcome, Kramer!

Welcome the the O&B Kramer Jr.

Worst case he is a kid who has a chance once he is an upperclassmen, and never hurts to have a kid whose dream is to be an Illini on the squad.

The edgy Tim doesn't show up in my response, but in reference to it, I think his info is wrong.

While Kramer may count as a 2017 due to how scholarships can be moved to various classes with some limitations, if he enrolls in the fall of 2016, his athletic clock begins ticking immediately. Unless I am mistaken, it does not matter if you are an athlete or not.

In other words, to truly be a gray shirt, I think he needs to enroll in January 2017, taking the fall off from all collegiate classes, even juco ( for example trying to get some credits under his belt.)

If he enrolls this fall, he will still have five years to play four, which is simply a "normal" progression of any athlete, i.e. A redshirt year is available to you. If he enrolls in January, his clock begins then, which gives him in a sense 5-1/2 years to play four.

Am I missing something?

Edit: either way welcome aboard young man!

Not certain but we cant seem to get anywhere with just mac talent we keep trying to recruit.....

i mean i really respect cubit being able to recruit still under his duress but seriously???....we were losing games last year we coulda won had we had offense......

then he hires his son to coordinator and we have taken 2 rbs in this years class already over what we really need??....sigh

good for this illinois kid but we gotta do better i hope we get at least 1 4 star like last year

I'd say Kramer III

TE Zarian Holcombe Tx 6'5 215 is consider a medium high 3*. IMO he runs vvg routes, vvg/ex hands, a willing blocker that needs 30#, vvg/ex sp, burst, qu, vvg st and power, hands catcher. Folks this a very nice get. To be honest I preferred Blake Williams out of Okl but still a nice get. I also rated him a meduim high 3* with a 3* 5.65 grade.
Guys and any gals they are still doing work this weekend and we might have another commitment or two before the week is over.:p:eek: :D
