Does anyone have any educated (notice I said "educated") guesses or theories on timings for Goodwin's and Tilmon's commitments? Soon? Not soon? No one knows?
I like my "eye test" more than rankings (Pickett). My eye test two years ago told me that Glynn Watson wasn't our next PG, my eye test now says he has developed into one. .
He seemed to be very productive offensively in Europe, before the injury.

I don't think Groce offered Moore. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
I know we offered clarkson. Think we tried to get him on campus for a visit, but he committed to mizzou before his visit here, I believe.
Hold on, actually the biggest recruiting flub is Lavert. That would have been the easiest recruitment ever, BUT I understand why Groce didn't do it. However, he should have known from OSU that you take away from players from whoever.
He didn't mess up on VanVleet. That was all jerrances fault. Many people told jerrancethat he should take a look at him, he did once or twice and that's it. He thought orris was better.
Ulis is a miss, but how big? How good would Ulis be without being surrounded by NBA players? I know he would be better than what we have now by a mile.
➤ Midseason All-State First Team
Jordan Goodwin, Belleville Althoff
There isn’t a junior who has had a more productive career up to this point. The do-it-all is doing just that –– doing it all again for one of the elite teams in the state. Goodwin is averaging 18.1 points, 8.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists a game.
➤ Midseason All-State Second Team
Javon Pickett, Belleville East
A junior who blossomed this offseason and jumped out of the gate with a bang this season. The 6-4 wing has been a dynamic offensive force, averaging 24 points a game. He also chips in 6.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists and nearly two steals a game for the 11-4 Lancers.
DaMonte Williams, Peoria Manual
The 6-3 junior guard does a little of everything for the Rams, one of the top Class 3A teams in Illinois. The highly-regarded prospect is averaging 19 points, 7 rebounds and 3.5 assists a game. He also had a signature performance when he dropped 37 eye-opening points in a Pontiac Tournament win over Joliet West, including three straight free throws to win the game.
Can't wait to run the Pickett fence at em in 2017. Congrats Javon and staff on the commitment, he looks to be a good one, and definitely the type of downstate talent we should be locking down.
Another southern Illinois stud in 2017: He’s been a fixture in the Hoops Report’s top 10 ranking of top prospects in the Class of 2017. But when you play in the southern part of the state, sometimes the recognition comes a little more slowly.
But Belleville East’s Javon Pickett has been waiting his turn. The long, smooth 6-4 wing looks as though he will grow some more and leaves you excited about his future and potential after watching him play. He plays hard, knows and understands how to play and is just scratching the surface.
While the Hoops Report called Pickett the state’s best player without a single scholarship offer early in the weekend, he had three offers by the end of the weekend from Illinois State, SIUE and Tennessee State. Pickett will be a coveted prospect by many sooner than later.
➤ The Southwest Illinois Jets, a well run and respected club program in the AAU world, continue to be the team with underrated and undervalued prospects. Sadly, if the aforementioned Javon Pickett played in the Chicago area he would already have double-digit offers. That’s how good he is. But college programs focus so intently on other higher-profile club teams early on and are slow to work their way around to the Jets. For whatever reason it just takes these players a little longer to be appreciated, based on where they play rather than how they play.
Can't wait until the Midnight hour for Pickett.![]()

Just a reminder that Jeremiah Tilmon and La Lumiere tip off against The Patrick School (Bryce Aiken, Nick Richards) at 4:45 CT at The Spalding HoopHall Classic in Springfield, MA on the Cube.

Any idea what channel the "Cube" is on Comcast in the Chicago area? Having trouble finding the game. Or is it just the stream.
