Two VERY bad plays there by Hill. You have to know how much time is left and that Hayes is going to pull that shot all day. He didn't have time to put the ball on the deck.

I understand intensity, but what is Groce doing at the 3-pointer line?

How can you coach in the middle of a game?

Boring game so far. We started out very active and aggressive on both ends, but as soon as Wisconsin settled in we started to lose intensity on both ends. Wisconsin out executed us on offense for the last 8 minutes and that's without Koenig and Happ. So basically we are in bad shape.

I think his composure is fine. He is trying to do everything he can to light a fire under this team. One of the Illini's biggest problems this year is lack of consistent intensity. They just don't bring it consistently on defense.

I really don't get the point of him doing this. He's half way out on the court jumping around like crazy. I get being intense but what does he accomplish by doing this? Coach the dang game and pay attention so maybe during timeouts instead of catching a breath yourself you can talk about what you saw and try to make some adjustments.

I really do think there are some chemistry issues on this team. No one knows how to play with each other because lineups are always different every game. I understand basketball lineups are always changing but sooner or later a coach will figure out trends and how certain people in play together and use those lineups. So far it has been nothing but chaos.

I think we are just made up of quiet individuals. No outgoing aggressive personalities. Finke is probably the most outgoing. Mav, Hill, Nunn, Tate, JCL, etc...all quiet types...

I think is true. We don't really have a "rally the team" guy when we start to lose intensity or get nervous on the court, and everyone feeds into it rather than having someone to re-settle you.

Too much intensity, too little intensity, not going back for offensive boards, going back for offensive boards which allows fast breaks. Just curious which side of the fence it's on today, so I can set my watch.
