But no Illinois?
Big men much more of a priority with the DW, Pickett commits and being the clear leader for Goodwin.

Groce saw him when we played Northwestern.

What bigs are we recruiting besides Tilmon? Aren't there a couple Indiana kids that Groce has a good relationship with? I forget their names.

Brian Bowen and Justin Smith.
Evanston was 23-6 on the year and played a national schedule--Elite Classic, Bluegrass Holiday and City/Suburban showdown. ETHS was #1 seed of a tough Sectional and idd loose to Notre Dame in semi's. ND is going to State. Eastern bounced back nicely from his horrific ankle injury and was named to the all tourney team in Bluegrass classic. He also has been invited to the USA development camp. Painter, OSU, and MSU have all been into see him in the lst month. He will be a HM and don't be surprised if it's a BIG team.

Think Tilmon takes this opportunity to commit on national television?
That would be awesome, so
NO
"realist"
Check your realism at the door..this is Illinois where pro football coaches suddenly come flocking and we beat Iowa in the BTT and Damonte Williams commits. Our bad luck has run out and everything is great now.
I wouldn't mind adding a pure PG to this class. Davonte can play point and probably will, but he can also play on the wing, so at times we could have two PGs on the court at the same time. TJL and/or Damonte and/or pure PG recruit '17. Lots of versatility and depth.
If we land 3 Bigs in the class of '17. I certainly wouldn't complain, especially if Finke/Kipper/DJW are our only 4s for the 2017-18 season. If Black is allowed back on the team, then 2 Bigs would be sufficient for that class.
IF we end up with Tilmon and Goodwin then we need to get one of 3 recruits: a true PG, a C or big PF (not a tweener), or a top player that you can't pass up if it is a position beside either of those. It would be hard to not take a top SG or CG if they wanted to come here but most likely we will push for either a true PG or a C IMO. Don't see how we would have 3 bigs though...
This is all very true. I'm certainly not saying Easten isn't a high major player. I actually think he'll be a very good B1G level player. I just don't think he had the type of explosive season that some were expecting.
I would lean heavily on landing 2 additional bigs other than Tilmon if I had my choice.

Realistically I think we could end up with Tilmon, Goodwin, and Negron.. In that order. That doesn't sound too shabby. And while Negron isn't exactly a Big, only 6-6 per 247, he seems to be a versatile guy that could play either the 3 or 4.
I have seen Negron quite a few times and have never been impressed.
