I have zero "insider knowledge", so I won't say nothing will happen as far as Tilmon decomitting, but there were already rumors last year that he wanted to come back to either Althoff/ESL and several rumors this summer, long before the Goodwin fiasco. Don't understand the whole freak out over it.

Is it the same source that told him that Admon Gilder and Elijah Thomas were for sure going to join Jawun Evans at Ok State?

He was wanting to come back to Althoff but wasn't sure if IHSA would allow him to play. This isn't really earth shattering. This news was around all summer.

Roy Schmidt just tweeted that he has spoken to several people in the "know" and Tilmon isn't attending any other university other than UI. Take that for what it is worth....

This would not be luck...don't forget Smith has been to C/U 3 times in the last 14 months. I didn't keep exact track but somebody from staff saw Smith as much as any recruit this AAU season.
Next rumor...look for Eastern to maybe be tied in somehow.
Maybe equal parts persistence & luck...I get what you are saying, but if OW 4th place is true I will still chalk it up to a bit of luck as well.
So is the rumor Eastern/Smith playing together or overlap where one may take a schollie that will impact the other down the road? Do you believe the rumor on Eastern being involved or are you starting/speculating on this?

I felt pretty confident until the recent news of him transferring back to ESL came to fruition. La Lu offered distance from the STL area and all the snakes in the grass. Rumors are running rampant but let's hope they are just rumors...

That's what I keep thinking... Ultimately, our coaches know what losing Tilmon would mean. I have faith that they won't be leaving it to chance.I'm not sure who in their right mind would want to transfer BACK to ESL.

Not sure that 4th place prediction is correct. Eastern and Smith have been friends going back a couple of years. I find it interesting that Eastern has not made any "final" nor OV announcements. Everybody just assumes it's Izzo. Not me.
