I'm sure the kid doesn't even know if he'll actually end up taking all 5, let alone the AAU coach.

EVERYONE always says this even if they know it is not true. Why would you come out ahead and say "Yeah I set 5 visits, but I am only going to do 2 or 3 of them". The public line is always that all of the visits will happen, and that only changes once a commitment happens or an announcement gets scheduled.

Love that quickness combined with his balance. It keeps him under control when he uses that burst to blow by people. This is the type of athleticism that's been missing lately.

A lot of what he brings to the table has been missing. Groce & Dee have a nice piece to work with!

Frazier is so silky. Lov(i)e how he lulls the defender to sleep and then blows by him. Then finishes the play with some nice touch at the rim.

I couldn't imagine trying to guard him on a high ball screen. Go under the pick and he will pull up in your face, go over the top and he will be at the rim before you get around the screen. Such a key player type missing from the illini offense over the past couple years and I can't wait to see our offense going forward.

Looks like the real deal. Getting really nit picky, he needs to lose that high dribble (only happened a few times in that clip). Am not worried. Can't wait to get this kid in O&B.

I would agree with this. Mind you, I'm only looking at clips --haven't actually seen him, so it's not much of a statement. He looks like he's got a nice step-back jumper, good handles, vision, passing, athleticism, etc.. Nothing jumps out as elite, but he's got a little bit of everything, with no obvious weaknesses. Also, I think some strength will allow him to amp up his athleticism.

I was thinking the same thing when watching his video. The step back bounce was a little high but I am not one with the credentials to critique ball handling. Also I don't care how high the bounce is so long as the end result is the sweet sound of nothing but nylon!

Yeah, his use of the ball screen is one of the things that initially drew the staff to him. The offense Groce wants to run involves a lot of that high ball screen action, but we haven't really had a pg who can excel in that. Tate can't shoot the ball well enough to keep the D honest. Need a guy who can hit the 3 or get to the rack and Frazier certainly seems to fit that bill.

The fellas over at Scout verbatim have said "he's absolutely tremendous off high ball screens". Groce has gotta be licking his chops. As far as I can tell TF is pretty darn close to Groce's mould of lead guard. He's gotta fill out & put on some muscle but you know he will! A stronger quicker even more explosive Frazier will be a handful

Just saw where Negron has 2 OV's scheduled--Oregon State (9/17) & DePaul (9/30).
What ever happen to Uyaelunmo?
