Well this is a pleasant evening.
Recruiting isn't JFG's fault. He's done everything possible and been screwed over numerous times
Most intriguing story: Jeremiah Tilmon wavering
The coveted East St. Louis big man was coach John Groce’s top target from the moment the 6-10 Tilmon entered high school. The tireless recruiting efforts paid off as Illinois received a commitment from the state’s No. 1 prospect in July. Now Illinois and its fans wait for Tilmon, a top 25 talent nationally, to sign his letter of intent.
It’s been confirmed he will not sign his letter-of-intent with the Illini on Wednesday, and there are now serious questions as to whether he will sign with Illinois at all.
Per Evan Daniels twitter
Five-star big man Jeremiah Tilmon told Scout that he doesn't plan to sign with Illinois during the signing period.
It also reflects how sleazy Travis Ford is...
It just shows what college basketball (and football) has become. Kids have no respect for the coaches who recruit them. Fans have no respect for their own coaches (if the kid screws the coach over, it's the coach's fault...that's B.S. If a sleezy coach steals a recruit away, he's a hero). Players can't give a coach or future teammates enough respect to give them a heads up they aren't fully committed until the last second...kind of like IDKWTI. I think I'm going to back out of following this stuff so much. It's more bad than good. I do enjoy the games. It might be better to do like when I was a kid and just watch the games. Good lord.
Disagree, Groce is in charge of the Illinois program. It's his job to identify the right kids for his program and get them to sign. He hasn't done that. Not to mention his on the court record is less than acceptable.
Dont be so naive. He is 100% right. Slu has upped the offer. Up to us to respond. Best believe Whitman knows whats going on here.Get real, you have no proof that is true
