I think it was a couple signing days ago, but Groce mentioned that he's not surprised by anything that takes places in recruiting anymore.

I pretty much feel the same at this point. We've been through it enough to know that anything can happen. Not surprised either way.

Panic level is steadily rising especially now that Lincoln made an appearance. SLU? S.L.U.? Taking an official, multiple unofficials, making a large Twitter announcement and having multiple interviews talking about the loyalty he has for Illinois and liking Groce, turning down schools like UNC and MSU, and now we may lose him to a non power 5 school who has coach that has been on the job for just a few months. I really hope there is a reasonable explanation for this, but this does feel Sniderish.

I'm sorry but if Tilmon jumps ship, this crap is just plain bull. I'm tired of Illinois being screwed by recruits last minute. This would be a monumental slap in the face by Tilmon.

Seriously, what strange curse has been placed on John Groce? How many signing-day shocks does he have to endure?

Probably preaching to the choir, but about the worst thing we could do is start lashing out already before some hard facts come in. If there is indeed some indecision by Tilmon, the Illinois fanbase turning sour is probably not going to help.

seems like one of two options: either (a) groce is cursed. (b) we're hamstrung by rules compliance. administration will know which one it is, and it's on whitman to make the right call.

Unbelievable. What a day.

If this turns out to be the nail in Groce's coffin it'll be a real shame. Guy can't catch a break recruiting.

I know people will say, stay composed, we don't know anything yet. But, I'm sorry, if these kind of rumors are coming out the day before signing, it is a pretty sure fire sign that we will be losing Tilmon to SLU
