I don't know why people are surprised by this. The writing has been on the wall. Tonight isn't a "A HA" moment. The time to be alarmed was when he left LaLu. Not just leaving, but leaving against UI coaches wishes. LaLu was absolutely the best place for his long term future. Practicing against D1 talent day in and day out. The closest thing he would experience to a D1 college basketball experience to prepare him for his Freshman yr. The fact he left should tell you he had people in his ear that didn't have his best interest at heart. It should also tell you he is easily swayed.
This was a very strategic plan on the part of people in and around the SLU program. They got him closer to home, close to SLU campus, closer to people that can sway him.
In no way shape or form do I pretend to have any inside info whatsoever. But it doesn't take a genius to figure this out. UI has been in trouble here for some time and they knew it I believe. What is upsetting is we haven't heard about UI getting involved with more big men. Because the moment he left LaLu, this became a very strong possibility
