Guess I am - i am not looking at his future - rather his ability to run the offense and who is actually a threat to score. To say he doeesn't play D - well - this team in general does not play D. We will win via Offense and he's a TON better running the offense than Tate is.

Tate doesn't exactly do anything to help the team win, either. He's a liability on both ends of the floor.

They may not be "better" minutes, but they are more important.

Guess it comes down to personal preference bc I take into account the experience that he's getting which will benefit us over the next few seasons when we have better players around him. Tate is done after this year. Thankfully.

He broke down a defender on a high ball screen, got in the paint, and got us our best look of the game - the first FG, Jordan's 3.

Then he got Morgan a wide open look under the hoop the very next possession.

He's fighting over screens. IU went right to Tejon's side and got Blackmon an open 3 the moment he checked in. Next possession they worked a switch where OG had him isolated on the block. Easy bucket.

What are you seeing from Tejon? Specifics please.

Tate generally doesn't turn the ball over much and plays what I will call "okay" defense. Unfortunately, when he runs the point the offense seems to grind to a halt, and he doesn't have the offensive playmaking ability to create his own shot (let alone actually make it) when the shot clock gets low.

No doubt. Minutes need to be shared - Tejon needs tic. Tate has serious issues.

Just don't tell me it's night and day between he and Tate right now. That's objectively false.

This team shows zero emotion & energy far too often. Groce actually seems more amped than any of his guys and I think that says it all right there.
