Dare I say it, do "we have our punter"?
And he called it "a great opportunity." Lovie needs a punter for his field position brand of football.#1 rated at his position? Yes, please.

But jeez he looks like that guy across the hall who can't get a date either.

I know zero about him, but a Kansas QB just announced he is transferring. He'll be eligible immediately:

2 years of eligibility as a grad transfer? First I've ever heard that, he must've graduated reaaaaally early
If he can throw at ALL let's take him for spring ball purposes
Looks like Kaleb Eleby is fairly high on Illinois. Has already visited Champaign a couple of times and would be a nice grab from Mizzou.
Will be interesting to see how the QB position shakes out. I'm guessing Lovie will want to get two QBs from this class. I'm assuming Patterson is the primary target, with Coran Taylor and Eleby in the second group.

I'm biased but I'd prefer Taylor. He'd be perfect for McGee's offense.

We have offered a number of QBs, including Zarrian Holcombe's brother, and it will be interesting to see if any of these guys commit anytime soon. Patterson is probably the main target but he has lots of offers.
2018: Kansas just got commitments from three 4 star playears and three 3 star players.
Wat
Thats a better class for now than Alabama. They haven't had a 4 star recruit in 5 years. They got 3 today.
Two of the top 60 players in 2018, all five of yesterday's commits are from Louisiana, haven't had a four-star player since 2010. You can pick which of those stats is the craziest.
Are we really that surprised? How else will they become a top ten team in 2023 and 2024 when Illinois has them on the schedule?2018: Kansas just got commitments from three 4 star playears and three 3 star players.

Understood, from watching the video, I like Eleby. He's a pass-first, run-second QB, which might mean he isn't as good of a fit for McGee's offense. That said, I think he's the better QB.
