Yes, I believe it is spring break. That is why there is unoffical. No one on campus for the real deal.
Spring Break is next week for UIUC.

Then I agree, that crowd was very sad.
Just hope for ISU and Illini for game 3 and you will have your crowd whether it is at Redbird Arena or State Farm Center. Hopefully Redbird Arena since I live down the street:thumb:
Two observations:
1. I must finally admit it. After 4 months of touting TJL for playing time over Tate, I have to acknowledge that TJL is not an A+ ballhandler. I've known it all year but I've been afraid to admit it. For a 4-star PG, his handles are perhaps a 7 out of 10.
2. 4,700 people at SFC. Are you kidding me? What has our University become? 45,000 students on campus + season ticket holders + others in the surrounding area. Really??? 4700!?!?!? Is it spring break in C-U?
For the first time all year, I noticed an aggressive "team" attitude toward defensive rebounding. All year long, it seemed like it was a crapshoot whether we would control a defensive rebound--at ANY TIME during the game. The Illini controlling the d-boards was very relaxing to me.
Did anyone else notice that? Was that Walker's influence?
Man, am I PO'd. I've been looking forward to watching this game when I got home after teaching. Had the DVR set to record the game, only to get home and find they switched the game to ESPN because of Syracuse. What the H? Who cares about Syracuse. Now I've missed what appears to have been one of the best games of the season. Does anyone know if it is replayed anywhere I looked on my DirecTV guide and can't find it.
Yep. Not only surprised, I'm totally shocked at the attendance. I probably would have guessed 12,000 to 13,500.
* I never missed a football or basketball game in 4-1/2 years of school. (Well maybe just 1 because of an exam).
* Our fraternity block couldn't get any closer than (the old) section B behind the basket.
* I recall when a local Champaign singer/song writer wrote an original song about our participation in the NIT......"All The Way to NYC".
I guess I'm just too absorbed in my alma mater's sports teams. Old School I guess.
Spring break begins on Saturday. Why wasn't Orange Crush behind the benches?
If we play the Redbirds it will be at their place.
You can watch it on ESPN3 online or the ESPN app if you have a smart TV or roku, firestick, etc.
It's the NIT. We just fired the coach. Did you really expect people to turn out to watch a beatdown of a short-handed Valpo in the 1st round of the NIT?
Glad it sounded good on TV. It was pretty quiet in person. Almost ALL of "C" was empty, and not many Krushers.
Walker was very good in the post game presser. A refreshing new perspective.
