Would have been interesting to hear how each of the other individual players did in the skill workouts. Guess we'll learn more during the summer workouts.

Could Finke possibly play the 5 position. He's 6'10'' so he definitely has the height/size.

I still think Kendrick Nunn every time I see Kipper's initials.
Have seen several places where Black is listed at the 5. It is easier to coach defense than to coach 6'10". Another off season with Fletch plus some time with OA and Finke will be ok defensively but not the rim protector we would like. LB may spend some time there if we don't pick up another big but not as much as Finke IMO. Believe it is possible to coach defense even if bounce is not where you would like it.

I don't think so, I think we will need and get help from one or both of AJ & DJ this coming year.
A lot is going to depend who/if we find another 5. If we don't Kipper is going to spend a lot of time at the 4 because by default Black & Finke are going to spend most of there time at the 5. This is probably a great opportunity for AJ/DJW to find some extra time at the 4 as well; guards on offense, but need to cover a 4 on defense and help with the rebounding.
I don't think it matters much if you call him a 3 or 4 on offense & on defense I expect him to spend most of his time at the 4 right now, depending on how/if we address our shortage of bigs.
Reading through this just reminds me how desperately we need another big, we are one bad day away from Kipper having to play some 5. The guards will be a competition & we will find some players there, it may take a bit to figure out who replaces Hill as the goto 7 may be by commitee, but we will be ok.
At 4/5 it will be all hands on deck and there is no margin for error, fouls/injury/suspension and we are in trouble. I think this will determine where I season goes.

Yeah I only mention him starring at the "3" in reference to Leron at the 4 and Finke at the 5. Unless we sign another big, hs or transfer, I do not expect Finke and Leron to start together.
All I know is if JCL isn't in the starting lineup, it better be because somebody else truly earned it.
As for Black, my hope is that we sign the Italian Stallion to back him up as an athletic 4 off the bench. Especially when he gets in foul trouble. Kipper can also fill this role when we play small.

I hope we bring in a true 5th year big to fit in when we need the presence in our rotation and matchups against certain teams, but I think Finke could be turned into a completely different animal under BU and company.
