From the game footage I have seen of EJ and JT, EJ does a much better job of getting involved in the game. He doesn't need the offense to run through him to score whereas JT does, and if he doesn't get the ball, will disappear for large stretches. EJ also is more agile and explosive.
For JT if he gets the ball with time and space, he's gonna score. The problem is teams double him, and he doesn't pass well out of the double team and either turns it over or allows the defense enough time to recover.
